The issue with Crosby wasn't that his concussion was so bad that he should retire, it was that he kept feeling other symptoms and was misdiagnosed for a while, he had severe whiplash and when they figured that out, the soft headed Sully loving turd was perfectly fine.

Letang on the other hand, quite literally had two strokes, his wife found him laying on the floor during one of them. That's significantly different than what Sid had. When you look up a stroke, it's essentially a "brain attack" and Letang had two of them.

You look at shit like what Fischer and Peverley had, anything related to the heart or even clots or strokes, that's not a game of chicken you want to play.

I wonder if all of these apparent health experts would still call Letang selfish and stupid if he wasn't an aging player who's play is falling off.

Maybe what is going on with him health-wise would still be going on whether he was playing hockey or not and deciding to play doesn't add any further risk. I'm sure he and his health care professionals know better than some randoms on the internet about his health and the risks involved, if there even are any.
