Last Wednesday, when Adrian Kempe recorded the first hat trick of his National Hockey League career, and when Michael Cammalleri scored two goals and added two assists in the Los Angeles Kings 4-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.
A hat trick and a four-point performance are big stories in any game. But that night, what probably should've been the big story was the NHL debut of right wing Justin Auger, but for obvious reasons, that story was overshadowed.
But we shouldn't forget about it, right? So here's the story, with comments from Auger about the game, reaction from family, friends, former coaches and more. Kings head coach John Stevens also talked about Auger's NHL debut.
