It's pretty funny if you think about it...

Halak and Cammellari were our key players in the 2010 cup run. We traded them for Eller and Bourque...

Guess who are 2 of our best players?!

It was 2010 actually... and not much of a run. It was a hang-on-by-your-nails-and-hope-for-the-best kinda thing. We entered every game expecting to lose, and we lost a lot of games. Halak was pulled at least twice too. The magic was that we were such intense underdogs.

That said, yeah Eller and Bourque have had a phoenix-like rebirth in the post-season and I hope they keep kicking ass and give us a Stanley Cup this year. :handclap:

Eller has been one of our best players?..

Bourque no doubt.. but Eller on the other hand hasn't looked as good in games 2 and 3. He isn't hurting us (besides taking a bad penalty and ruining Price's shutout in game 2), but he hasn't been one of our best.

Even Price and Subban have been heavily influenced by that run. I think it was Hal Gill who talked about Price's change in attitude during that run and how his practice habits took off. Subban was a sponge learning what it takes to win.

Gotta say Gionta was great too during that run and he is filling his 3rd line role perfectly right now.

Guess you didn't watch the game much.
