From what I hear, Philly was never a serious option. His agent obviously took their call but it apparently sounded like he wasn't all that interested in joining them.

If he wins with the Lakers (the best franchise in the NBA) it'll be amazing for his legacy. Especially because now he's not making it a priority to have other stars to play with.

Not surprising that he signed in L.A. but a little surprised that he committed long term without another star already in place. I've always hated the Lakers (long time Pistons fan) but L.A. being relevant again is very good for the league and makes it more interesting from a basketball fan perspective. Be really interested to see what happens with Kawhi now.
