as for his paycut talk, it seems like klay and derozan were the only two he was willing to do that for. harden was never an option and lebron wasn't taking a paycut for jonas valanciunas. the rest of the FA class was meh. once klay signed with dallas and derozan likely wanted more than what the lakers were offering, that was that

Sure if the definition of earned it is your agent/fathers best friend telling teams he won't sign a two-way contract and if they draft him hes going to Australia.

The nepotism is outstanding, some social media posts have this compared to Ken Griffey Sr going to Seattle to play with Ken Griffey Jr. This is not even comparable.

Junior had only been in the league for like a year or two at that point so it's not even like he had any leverage.

It's a dumb comparison to begin with, but they act like Jr made them sign his father during the mid 90s when he realistically could've held the Mariners over a barrel.
