The refs weren't even trying to hide the fact that they wanted Pittsburgh to win. It's pretty f***ed up. I'm so glad the Leafs were able to ruin their night.

Leafs PK this year is 6th, 83.9%, last year 12th, 81%, the year before 79.7, 15th.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to attribute much of the uptick to his face offs, defensive IQ and reach.

i love the signing(i even argued earlier in the year he was our most important signing), but giving him a mult year deal worth 2.5million is premature lol. he played great for the 1st quarter of his contract, thats it so far.

special teams(especially pk) is the most important thing in the postseason outside solid goaltending imo. we havent had special teams this good in a loooong time.

Is giving Mitch another weapon to work with.

Everyone worried about Matthews but on the bunting goal Mitch blocked a shot and you could tell he was in discomfort and if you watch the goal celly he was still holding his arm. Hope he is all right another quiet two points.

Great win marred by some of the worst reffing I have ever seen. We are one of the best even strength teams in the league but have received 134 powerplays compared to our 164 penalty kills. I'm so sick of this shit every year.

I guess we'll have the advantage in the playoffs when the refs put the whistles away.

Soup's glove hand was special tonight. I don't really notice him as quick with it as he was tonight.

Does Mathews even wear a mouth piece? I reminded after the incident and watched and didn't see him wearing one a couple of plays earlier. Was it just the angle and shots of him on the bench?
