I wouldn't say 'junky' except for the one off Matthews' foot, and I wouldn't blame Campbell for any of them. All five goals were scored by St Louis players left uncovered, four of them within ten feet (three within two feet) of our net.

Goalies still save those chances most of the time.

Time to end the Clifford experiment. Also, Simmonds shouldn't be a lock to play every night.

Clifford out, Kase in (3rd line, Engvall 4th line)
Rotate between Anderson, Simmonds, and Ritchie on the 4th line. Although, I'd like to see Anderson play a string of games.

Dermott was bad again, Lilly only a bit better.

Good thing Mrazek didn't let in 5, there would be a lynching.

However, a win is a win and we desperately needed that one.

We didn't play bad defensively on the whole but the mistakes we did make were pretty egregious. Gotten sloppy with our coverage down low and net front since coming back from Covid. Campbell is on his game though and we probably only give up 2 or 3 tonight. Also Clifford adding toughness to this team is a myth and he needs to be banished to the shadow realm. He is literally useless and provides nothing other then an unplayable 4th line...and that needs to change very soon.

Campbell may have struggled, but time and time again he makes the next big save when he needs to. Core piece, looking forward to him committing long term this summer.

The Leafs team is really, really good. Currently in a bit of a skid, which happens with the ebb and flow of the season. Hopefully they are able to find some good lessons in these games and get back to more solid winning ways soon.

I think the best way to describe Campbell’s game last night was ‘leaky’ … pucks just seemed to get through him.

Goals 2, 3, and 5 were examples of that.. in fairness he was left with an 0 on 2 down low on the third goal though in a bad defensive breakdown.

The first one was some blown D coverage and as was the 4th goal. That 4th one made me mad since there was the missed holding call on Liljegren. Lily got back into the the play but made a bad read and skated ps his defensive assignment who was open for that back door play.

Happy to see Marner score in his first game back.. get his confidence going early. The lineup is noticeably different with him in it. Also happy to see Tavares get off the slide with a nice snipe.

Polarizing trip so far. They’ve played some brilliant dominant stretches of hockey but have also imploded and blown more leads than they have all year.

Which Hall of Fame goalie said something along the lines of “No one cares if you let in 5 goals as long as you don’t let in the 6th” after winning a big game 6-5

Starting to see some bad habits creep into their game. Still think we need a big solid d-man back there that can.punish people

It might not have been pretty and it was certainly entertaining but nonetheless it was a big win for the Leafs and they really needed this one.

Looked like it was slipping away again, good on the team for playing to the final whistle.

Even just to kill a trend and keeping their heads clear.

The Atlantic Div competition is heating up, so you have to keep pace or bow out.

I agree, the fact they blew a 3-1 1st period lead, and also were down in the 3rd again and found a way to win will remove some of those skeletons of doubt that were building up on this trip of blown leads.

They didn't quit, and ended up winning against a tough opponent on the road, and went home happy in the end.

Had NFL as the main game but glanced at the other screen at times. Looked like Muzzin and Lilligren had a rough night?

Not postponed?
As far as I know the tickets were cancelled, didn’t hear anything about the game being postponed.

***** TSN shows the game still on but NHL.com shows it postponed. Guess that means TSN sucks and the game is not happening

I PVRed both, then watched the Leafs 1st and saw them go up 3-1 and was felling good.

Then I watched the Bill/Pats 1st half and was felling really good.

Then I returned and watched the Leafs 2nd period and wasn't feeling so good again.

So then I watched the end of the NFL game, and braced my myself as I returned to watch the 3rd period of the Leafs and then it ended on happy note as well.

All's well that ends well.

Yeah, TSN has been pretty inconsistent.
