Ha ha! I think we all (should) know that the jury is still out on how good this team really is though, isn't it? I say, enjoy the regular season for what it is, a tune up for the real thing. I don't think there is anything wrong with having a positive attitude, its a great way to live. But it cannot come at the expense of reality... I was super critical of the team blowing the third period leads on the recent road trip... does it matter in the moment? Not really, but if we play like that in the playoffs we are done for. So while I love that the team is winning and there are tons of positives day in and day out, there is something to be said about winning the right way consistently... because those 'cheat' wins are far and few between once playoff time comes and that is what worries me.
Agreed. I'm not too worried about blowing leads recently TBH, it's a long season and there is bound to be some in consistent play here and there. The last dozen games or so, that's when I will be very worried if we see a lot of sloppy play as I'm pretty sure that the teams that are looking good going into the playoffs are usually the ones who play up to their potential when the real games start.
