Whatever that was, take it and run. I think it was a hockey game but could have been football with the tackles.

Only ~25 shots against, Campbell had a rough game but some nice pad saves at the end.

Goals in 10 straight road games for Matty.

Congrats Lilly on NHL goal #1!

Good thread title.

Leafs are on a 6 game road trip and this was game 4.

The team is returning home however for a few days and with the NJ game postphoned in Toronto they head back to NY on Wednesday to play the Rangers and then close out the trip against the NYI on Saturday.

I am going to say it will be longer than 6 games. No chance fans are back in the building Jan 26 gor the Ducks game.

Unless the NHL decides it doesn't matter if fans are allowed in.

MLSE is telling their employees mid Feb before they will be called back to work

Sloppy but good win at the same time, Toronto played well but blew another lead to let St Louis back into the game, didn't think Campbell had a good game overall last night, only criticism on Campbell is tracking the puck behind the net, last 3 games we have seen them score due to it. Toronto had issues when it came to St. Louis forechecking, we turned the puck over more then we should in our end

But hey, 2-1-1 against St Louis, Colorado, Vegas, Arizona, ill take it, could be worse.. Could be like Edmonton!

So they won a game they deserved to lose after losing a game they deserved to win.

All is right in the world.

The Leafs did not deserve to lose last night's game...St. Louis, especially Kyrou was getting away with a lot of non-calls...the guy probably holds more with that one-hand grab than anyone in the league...can't believe refs just let him grab Lilly, pull him down, then roughs him up without giving Kyrou anything...on HNIC too...Leafs should have had 2 or 3 more powerplays, which would have buried the Blues.

I have a weird need to see sports live so PVRing isn't as enjoyable to me. I watched until Leafs were up 3-1 then watch most of the first half of the Bills, then flipped back to a 3-3 tie. I was not impressed.
Same, I had NFL on the big screen & the leaf game on the laptop on the coffee table

the Leafs actually kinda mildly slaughtered St Louis. A rare off night for Soup kept this game close, but we killed them in both shots and possession all while being absolutely mugged on plays that had no business going uncalled (at least one directly resulting in a goal against). I’d think based on chances and the other things I mentioned previously the leafs win that game at like 7 or 8 times out of 10

Honestly same. If I missed a game I'll watch the game in 6 but I can't watch a an entire game I already know is over and/or what the score is.

Because the leafs didn’t dominate the entire 60 like they’re the trail smoke eaters junior B team playing the Olympic womens team.
Makes me chuckle a bit when people say you gotta play a 60 minute game. The amount of times a team completely dominates another for an entire game isn't that often. Just put the effort in and focus on trying to make sure after 60 minutes is up that you end up with more goals than the other team.

I'm not saying don't put an effort in or try. I'm just saying, expecting 60 minutes of dominance most games is a little unrealistic. They deserved to win. They had more goals than the other team. And they played like poop. Both can get true.

When the Leafs were terrible juuuuust before things started to turn around, people used to say they deserved to win some of the games they lost because they were putting in an effort and losing. All the effort in the world couldn't cover up the complete lack of skill the team had. This team has all the skill in the world and can pull victories out of games where they probably shouldn't have effort wise.

Surprised there's not more chatter about Liljegren's performance.

That was one of the most impressive games he's had in the NHL. Finally showing glimpses of his top pair potential. Outside of the Kyrou goal (where he was mugged) and a couple minor missed assignments, he looked incredible in transition. I'm not at all concerned about the mistakes when he overall handles tough assignments with ease.

A couple really physical plays along the wall, put out there late in the game, made some unbelievable stretch passes all game, made high-skill quick decisions with the puck in the NZ, etc.

He's emerging.

Dominate for 60 minutes is rare. The 6-0 win over the Sens on Jan 1, was the 5-1 over Edmonton a 60 minute domination? Just doesn't happen often

You're only supposed to whine about the officiating when we lose.

Blown leads and Jack giving up 13 goals in 3 starts on this trip were the bad news, the good is the team goes into the "New York , New York" series on a win and Auston chasing history.

Bure, Yzerman? Not bad company to keep if he can pot one versus the Rangers.
