meh, I’m gonna say Matthews has complete dominated on this road trip. Nylander is just talented beyond belief. He’s going to get close to 35 goals. His shot is so underrated, he could play like shit but get one opportunity and it’s a high probability of going in
I guess he doesn’t let his mood affect his play which is good. We can’t afford for him to get down on himself if the puck doesn’t go in he net or if plays aren’t working. He also has less invisible games compared to before. He’s been much more consistent this year as a whole

but yea Auston is our skaters MVP, he’s been too good.

Obviously jacks the team mvp.

They played like crap for the better part of the last two games, but 3 outta 4 pts. On the road vs elite competition is still solid work. burn the tapes & move on.

I'm glad we won, I didn't like the way we played. The Kamph and Spezza lines are ok, but don't add too much in the way of consistent pressure, in part because we've too many players out of their best positions. Clifford and Ritchie are hurting us, and Spezza at C is tasked a bit too much. I'm a big Will Nylander fan, but at times his coasting...uhhhh. To spark him, because when he's Willy Styles I think he's a great player, I'd suggest trying:

Bunting Matthews Kase (because Matthews can Matthews, and Bunting and Kase add some bite)
Mikheyev Tavares Marner (Marner can set up JT and Mikky, both Mikky and Mitch can add D to the line)
Kerfoot Nylander Spezza (a fast, offensively inclined 3rd, which has to be respected by any team, and may spark Styles with the added responsibility, JS can he keep up?)
Engvall Kamph Simmonds (Kamph has performed best with Engvall, Simmonds adds some nasty and has been effective, D responsibilities 8-10 min/night)

On to Zona, good luck fellas, hoping to be up for the game, but Covid is tasking my sleep at night and stamina during the day. Time for a nap.

Team still lacking stamina from the break, a back to back might be what they need.

Leafs played a great first again and then got sloppy. Refs didn’t help matters but that too many men call was self inflicted.

3/4 points despite the team playing 4 of the last 6 periods poorly.

Vegas doesn’t look that strong though, they were sloppy too, they just found their legs in the second and third.
Vegas plays such an unassuming game. And then you look at the score and they are beating you. I think them adding Eichel to that lineup will be huge. A real gamebreaker.

I'm happy that they didn't have their best game but still found a way to win.

Good teams do that.

They're learning to close things out.
I'm not concerned. 2 games of 3rd period leads getting away isn't great but thats not common for this group so I'm not worried.

You know what... two points. Move on... Played well in the first period, and Nylander scores in OT. Our snipers Matty and Mik score big ones. Soup was good... Can't wait until Marner and friggin Engvall replace Ritchie and Clifford.

By the way y'all

It's okay as long as the team keeps winning we won't be seeing too much of him :) Go Leafs Go

About 20 years in abd this is the worst I've felt after a win.
Forty-one years for me, and I've had more than enough experience watching the Leafs snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I quite enjoy having the shoe on the other foot for a while.

It always sucked watching the Leafs outplay a better team only to have the better team somehow come out ahead at the end of the game. You just knew no matter how good it looked, something would go wrong. I'll take this over that any day :)
