They weren’t together the entire game, but what a coming of age and defining game for Kampf, Engvall and Mikheyev. They were fighting through tight checking all night and sealed the win.

It's insane just how much better they look than Nylander and Tavares. Like they're in a different league.

He needs to use his brain, up 3-0 and pinching with his lack of foot speed.

Dude should know his limitations and it cost us the momentum.

Playing against Tampa and Vasi, you need to be near perfect... almost cost us the game if it wasn't for Soup's right pad.

If the team plays that way the rest of the series they lose this in 6. But I'm confident they show up far better next one.

we have been the better team overall throughout the series, we would be crazy to think the B2B champs dont know exactly how to win these games, yet we won. not hard to be optimistic imo!

Kampf line is basically our 2nd line now. Team isn’t going far until Nylander/JT decide to produce.

Big takeaway for me is so far Vaz has looked human this series.

They didn't score any goals but anyone saying Matthews and especially Marner had a bad game need to stop score watching and pay attention to other parts of their games. Marner was flying all over and huge on the pk.

Will give credit to Keefe when he deserves it. Switching Kerfoot to the top line in the 3rd was good.
The timeout at 3-2 was smart. The game was kind of on the line there

The fact that Vasilevskiy was seen as the Lightning's big advantage heading into this series and Campbell is keeping up is a great sign for us. He's been magnificent.

Remove Holl, Simmonds, Clifford from the lineup permenently. Without them, the leafs wouldnt have taken a single stupid penalty all series.

Remember reading this same old song and dance late in the regular season and the coaching staff ended up taking Holl out instead of Lyubushkin and the D looked far better.

Take a bit of time and learn what coaches look for in a defensemen.

Moen - Pahlsson - Niedermayer = Engvall/Mik/Kampf. A line you need to win it all. Just need the rest of the team to figure out their playoff identities and we're getting closer and closer to becoming a playoff threat.

Campbell was outstanding. The big reason the Leafs won. Quality goaltending tonight.

Matthews and Marner had off nights. Their line got caved pretty bad 5 on 5. They need to do so much more.

Mikheyev, Kampf and Kerfoot were terrific. Muzzin and Brodie did very well.

Game 2:
- Tampa's depth scored 2 goals; Leafs depth 0 goals Tampa wins by 2

Game 3
- Leafs depth scored pretty much most of the goals
Blackwell, Kampf, Mikheyev X 2 (sure empty nets). Leafs win by about the same goals the depth scored (give or take)

meanwhile top6 forwards played to a stalemate. (JT-Nylander were lost in the d-zone more than matthews-marner btw)

Engvall passing to Mikky instead of skating it into the net nearly gave me a heart attack

that was boneheaded with all due respect to the giraffe. maybe with a 2 goal lead but not with only a 1 goal lead

Anyways Holl out and Liljegren back in please. At least when Lilly makes a mistake it's because he was forced to. Holl on the other hand makes so many unforced errors and costly pinches.
