Sorry was AFK at a buddy's house who loves the Leafs as much as we all do and just came home now..

Wasn't happy Simmonds and Clifford weren't dressed. Keefe proved me completely wrong.

Shove the crow straight down my mouth, I deserves it. We played a great game and dominated. Let's do the same for game 4.

GLG!!!!

Matthews had the shot that led to a goal. 9 scoring chances(led the game) and 3 highs danger ones at all strengths. His offense has been good. I want him to turn up his Defence. I think he can go absolute shut down on some of these players. Maybe not prime Bergeron but Kopitar or something.

Good game. Weird that other than Kamph with his 2nd goal of the series it was 1st goal for all other scorers

It was shown on the broadcast Hagel grabbed holls stick before going down pretty softly. Can’t really blame holl for that
Correct. He defended the only way he could, and probably shouldn't have been called. That's not the issue. The problem was...the play shouldn't have happened at all because he shouldn't be 10 feet inside the other team's blue line carrying the puck in. When is someone going to beat it into his head that he's not being paid for his offence. DUMP THE PUCK IN and get back! You are a liability when you cross that blue line with the puck. Give it to someone else or dump it. Then park yer ass at the top of the zone and stay there until the puck exits said zone. Pretty simple, I'd say.

Playing in Tampa so they have last change, so they can put out their best shutdown against our top line. (Despite that, Matthews and Marner were excellent.)

That means that our remaining lines need to pick up the slack.

Our second line, Mikheyev, Kampf, and Engvall, did just that.

Can't expect much from Tavares any more, and Nylander, despite playing well, has that big handicap.

Fourth line did what they were supposed to do.

I thought almost everyone contributed.
Nice to see Nylander knock that player off his skates in the d-zone scrum.
Been putting better effort in the d-zone, and moved the puck well on the PP,

And Mikheyev and Engvall continue to be huge contributors.

Engvall driving the net on the Blackwell goal opened up the passing lane for Lyubushkin.

Wow, just wow, was Holl ever useless yet again - just keep Lily in the line-up.

Campbell, I'm sorry I didn't believe in you at times during the regular season, we all love you.

Hey Campbell I knew we would need you today. That is why I ordered Red Lobster last night in your honor buddy

If it wasnt for Holl this game would have been a lot more easier on all of us.

Holl's boneheaded pinch and penalty lets to fist tampa goal and momentum swing
Holl's boneheaded play led to a solid Kucherov chance, offensive zone faceoff and 2nd goal for tampa

Open your eyes Keefe
Ordering red lobster? As in trusting a courier to handle seafood in a timely fashion? You’re brave sir

I only have one gripe; change the PP set up. Tampa is never going to allow Marner the cross ice pass to Matthews and at that point you are better off just putting Matthews in the Stamkos/Ovi area to set up for a one timer. Put Nylander or Marner behind the net and the other cross the opposite side of Matthews and Tavares in the middle in front of the net. Threaten the slot to slot pass for a tap-in/one timer which opens up tips and garbage goals for Tavares while also allowing the guy behind the net to potentially find Matthews or the odd man out open for a near net shot. Rielly also moves the puck way too slow and I've always had a gripe with that. They had a historically good PP all year by moving the puck quick and drawing the PK's around the ice to create odd-man passing zones. Get back to that.

Campbell was amazing and I genuinely believe now his bad months run was due to an injury he was nursing and trying to play through because he is night and day now. Feels like watching early season him again.
