I'm loving night train Wayne dropping the mitts and feeding Chariot.
He still has the smarts and he still sauces but Jumbo Joe is big time slow.
Willy has turned a corner in his game, I think he's a PPG player now.
Can't blame Freddy for goal 1 (freak bounce to MTL's most skilled player) or 2 (Anderson had time to paint his house on the way to the net), but Tatar's squeaker was weak, and Anderson's second goal is another example of a backbreaker after they boys were playing good.
Matthews, Marner and Tavares looked good. Matthews had like four great chances alone.
Captain Morgan was great at both ends, and the OT snipe.
Brodie is clearly a much smarter player than Barrie.
What was with all the two on ones and breakaways, and the Habs even had a few at SH? That's poor coaching.
...But that said, I like that Keefe isn't schizophrenic about ice time; you have guys like Marner and Matthews to ride them, not play them 17 minutes because 'they gotta earn it'.
On the Habs end, Suzuki is slick and dymanic (but still too weak) while Kotka was a non factor after the 1st.
Has there ever been a more disappointing player than Drouin? Soft, lazy and disinterested.
Anderson was a force.
Most of their so called 'elite depth' - Byron, Lekhonen, Evans and Armia type guys were garb.
Romanov is a stud, but it's still one game; he could be Andrei Markov, or he could be Alexei Emelin.
While it was hardly Price's best outing, he didn't give up any goals at bad times.
