Havingt Kerfoot on that line really helped both players. Maybe this who Kerfoot is, a good supporting winger/center
We tried him on the 3rd line to carry that line, that was probably too much for him

Kampf and Kase seems to do a pretty good job on the 3rd. Really hoping Kase can stay healthy
Kerfoot has been a soldier on that line. He's actually been trying to emulate the Hyman style the last few games....I noticed it several times last night where he was charging into corners and battling hard along the boards rather successfully.

The KampfiKase duo has been a revelation, they are an excellent pair together. Our 3rd line is in good hands if they stay healthy.

I'm aware - the move did in fact enable Holl to suck much less incredibly than he was.

I wouldn't call what you are claiming here "results" or proof of anything - the sample size on roster/results without Holl is far too small to claim that - but you may be right anyway, who knows. I'm not some anti-Holl guy really - I'm just not impressed with him and think we should be giving more GP to Lilly at the moment, though I'm also not completely dissatisfied with his usage either.
Another take is that Holl is neither so good or so bad to really influence the results.
That is fine, except for his salary. And the fact I think he is dragging Muzzin down.
But after Brodie and Lily on the right side, the other option is Dermott, and he has been a touch disappointing as well, at least to my eye test.

I wanna see Willy with Marner and JT with Matthews for a couple of games because why not? Willy can play centre, nothing wrong with throwing different looks at the opponent in the playoffs so may as well see how that would go. You never know until you try. :)
hahaha, the reaction on this board is crazy when lines actually get switched, like when Marner was taken from JT and given back to Matthews.
I suspect putting JT with Matthews would just leave people speachless.

Ouch.....you as an old hockey guy know how.....not smart your idea is - if you are gunning for a cup.

Say Campbell gets injured and the rookie can't handle the job full time.

Then what? Hutch to the rescue? lol

Ouch......just ouch.
100%.. there’s 0 reason to move off mrazek this season.
come off-season when you need to re-jig the salary cap? Absolutely, but there’s no reason to do it now.
Depending on who they target as an upgrade there’s other salary to move before selling off a 1A goalie for peanuts

Not trying to be negative but relax on Woll. He hasn’t been great at any level. Has he been great for 3 games with the Leafs? Yes for sure but chill.

Also the Leafs are playing amazing hockey. Love to see it
So either he hasn’t been great at any level, or he’s been great for these three games? Which is it?

3 games is a huge sample eh. Not to mention against garbage opponents. Hope he is good but let’s not get carried away here.
No ones claiming it’s a huge sample size. But to also suggest that he hasn’t been great and it means nothing is also dishonest

Does not reflect the...

Ah, forget it. The guy who said it wasn't exactly being a jerk and I'm sure he knows what he said was wrong by now, so I'll let it go.

Sandin's numbers look really good this year.....really really good.

Sandin and Liljegren are playing good.

They are a top 4 pairing.

There is no doubt about that in my mind.

Then the organization paid and plays Holl. That is truly laughable.

The fancy stats, and watching the games, says one thing loud and clear about Sandin and Liljegren compared to Holl. The difference is not small, the difference is significant.

He did have a broken wrist, he was very effective prior to that. I'm sure that threw everything off the rest of the year.
I'd forgotten about the wrist injury. It's his skating that's been just as noticeable though. Last year he looked like he was skating in quicksand.

3 games is a huge sample eh. Not to mention against garbage opponents. Hope he is good but let’s not get carried away here.
No it isn't. 3 games is a small sample size. However, at this moment, it is the only sample.

Its not that it's too much for him to carry a line, it's just wasted effort when he busts his ass and takes abuse to keep the puck alive and Engvall or someone throws the puck away right after.
