That's fantastico tico sire

Also uh, hopefully y'all all of y'all invested hard on this tonight's gezame. I called it was over before it even started sire... we are just that GANGSTA and hard, with OUR money and personel. That other orgnization and club is poor, and drafts awfully, period. We rock and rap in life.

We played decent last time, essentially a tie since it was a shootout loss after coming back from a 3-0 deficit

Hopefully we can win the rematch! Would also like to avenge our Pens losses on the year
That was a wide game due to all the funny bounces.

Fun stats:

Over the last month, Marner leads the NHL for both goals and points.

Also over the last month, the Leafs PK has a 42.86 goal differential...thats better than 9 teams 5v5 differential.

The Bunting/Matthews/Marner line has a 6.16 goals scored/60 rating at even strength this year. Thats better than 9 teams powerplays.

A few thoughts:

*When it got to 5-1 I focused on Liljegren's play with Muzzin. Impressive. Did some fine work defensively, and of course his pass to Jake for the final goal. I missed the Vancouver game, but I said against Calgary I thought it was his best game to date. Tonight was better.
*I'm of the opinion that William Nylander is the equal in talent to Mitch Marner, or very, very close. But what goes on in that kid's head must be a coach's nightmare. Why he can go from being one of the stars in the league the first 30+ games of the season to offering up the levels of effort in the D zone that he's shown recently has me bamboozled. I hope he gets back into engaged hockey soon, he's so much fun to watch when he's a committed player.
*I like Michael Bunting.
*I say this with a sigh, but the referees in hockey suck.

Have a good night folks, I'm off to play some tennis.
Accurate on ALL points!

That was a rock solid effort, I want to see that same effort against Pittsburgh and St Louis, those are big tests

Another two points for Matthews and three for Marner. Matthews slowly clawing his way in to the scoring race and same with Marner ironically.
Yup, since November 1st Matthews is 2nd in ppg (also points) and Marner is 5th. They've been producing at a crazy pace for some time now

Interestingly, Kadri is number one over that time span. Toronto players doing well

coincidence that Muzzin looking like a quality NHL defenseman after being unchained from the 6'4 sack of crap?

Holl was responsible for Nucks first goal the other night too. Gave it away then sprawled like a crawling baby. Muzzin could have played harder in front on the second one. The two should never be together and hopefully we can upgrade on Holl shortly.

Good game for the Leafs. They kept on the pressure and all the lines overall looked pretty solid. Matthews and Marner are dominating.

I hope this really is the year they figure it out in the playoffs. They could go a long way with those 2 playing like this.

Seattle is really bad so 6-2 win doesn't really say much, but glad we got the win. Marner is just on a whole other level right now, that shorthanded play was gorgeous. Another 3 point night for him and much needed 2 points for the team.

Remember when we first got Tavares and it was Tavares, Mitch, Willy, Matthews all on the powerplay? I was waiting for the best powerplay in the league to develop right away. It didn't happen......at least, not right away. It took a few years. There's a life lesson in there. Good things will come.....in time. :naughty:
