Kid is coming on.

Not a lot to complain about that game because Seattle is especially bad, and our offense got it done, but that could've looked better.

Our goaltending could still use some confidence and Holl has no business being anywhere but the press box (or AHL).

Go Leafs Go!

Very uninspiring effort, but, got the two points and that is all that matters for that game I think. You can't learn anything from playing that team... man they are w-e-a-k. Like Devils level weak.

I have to hand it to Holl, even when the team was generally lethargic, he was on another level of bad. He was on a bit of a good run there but seems that was just a blip as this looks more like the norm. I do think both he and Muzzin are better without each other 5-on-5. Again the 1st line and PP were good, the rest of the offensive lines were meh at best.

Campbell made some saves... I think if SEA had any kind of finihsing ability we would have been scrambling.

Funny we get the win in the worst game we play on the road trip.

A few thoughts:

*When it got to 5-1 I focused on Liljegren's play with Muzzin. Impressive. Did some fine work defensively, and of course his pass to Jake for the final goal. I missed the Vancouver game, but I said against Calgary I thought it was his best game to date. Tonight was better.
*I'm of the opinion that William Nylander is the equal in talent to Mitch Marner, or very, very close. But what goes on in that kid's head must be a coach's nightmare. Why he can go from being one of the stars in the league the first 30+ games of the season to offering up the levels of effort in the D zone that he's shown recently has me bamboozled. I hope he gets back into engaged hockey soon, he's so much fun to watch when he's a committed player.
*I like Michael Bunting.
*I say this with a sigh, but the referees in hockey suck.

Have a good night folks, I'm off to play some tennis.

Good team beats a bad team

Marner was magical

Campbell looked solid after that 2nd goal, something to build on

After the NYR game we had an easy 9 game stretch, I was hoping for 7-2-0 or 6-3-0

We ended 7-2-0 which is good.

Now the next 3 of 5 are against solid teams (PIT,STL, MIN). Hoping for 4-1-0 or 3-1-1

Good professional effort after a game you deserved to win. Easy to get down but played a good game against a bad team.
First career 2 point game for Liljegren. Both Holl and Muzzin deserve blame for their play, but in Muzzin's case, when you don't have a partner who makes mistakes on every shift you don't look as bad. Lilly hasn't been perfect either but he's still petformed way better then Holl. Holl and Muzzin are better apart, and Keefe should stop making this past pairing work. Play Muzzin-Liljegren and Sandin-Holl and see what happens.

Minnesota is honestly under the radar a lto due to the market location but they are a solid team. Hopefully there is a better outing this time around

Thought the Leafs played like a tired team tonight on the end of a road trip, good enough to secure a W tonight against Seattle nonetheless. 2nd line was better today but still a lot more to give, Nylander is on passenger mode right now so when he gets out of it I'm sure they will be better.

Justin Holl though, boy oh boy is a tire fire, seems like for every good thing he does out there, there always two bad thing that comes after it. Leafs are running out of time to see if he can put together some decent hockey before they need to go out and shop for someone that can play better then him.

Even though it’s been five years, Eberle still has all of the bad habits he picked up in Edmonton, Barry Trotz couldn’t even undo them.

He’s the exact caliber of forward the Leafs need, but I wouldn’t take him for Ritchie straight.

Holl seems like a cool guy who is loved in the room, but his Bobby Orritis is out of control. His hockey IQ couldn’t be found without a microscope- not a desk microscope, I’m talking about the big f***er they have at Berkeley. He will always be able to get a job because size and right shot and that’s a sad commentary.

We played decent last time, essentially a tie since it was a shootout loss after coming back from a 3-0 deficit

Hopefully we can win the rematch! Would also like to avenge our Pens losses on the year

I can't hardly think of anything to say about the Leafs who really did have piss poor games tonight. I'll just sit back and wonder who will, because nobody has as of yet, but I'm still hoping someone will. Although I'm doubtful, because like John Stewart says "conflict and misinformation travel better.";)

The funny thing is none of his assists this year have been the creative variety. Just good smart plays. A few on pinches like his 1st one today, good play in his own end leading to a goal. The Muzzin one might be the prettiest one he has had:laugh:
