Yes I've screened goalies before. You also need to have hands that work in tight to tuck in rebounds, something Simmonds doesn't have anymore.

Would love to see Robertson get a shot higher up the lineup with some PP2 time. Give him a chance to show if he belongs.

If you're not going to give Robertson minutes in the situations we need him in, just play Clifford.
Fair enough but two of the goals were tipped in front and those are always tough for a goalie. Mrazek played well enough to win especially when the game was on the line. Right now that is an improvement on their goalies recent play. Sometimes it’s not how many they stop, but when they stop them.

I think DeBrincat is actually a little more like Caufield than Robertson... great wheels and stays out of traffic while waiting for those passes.

As a major critic of Holl’s game most of this season … man, he was great tonight! And the last few games too. He’s playing some of his best hockey right now, hope he can keep that up! If he can, it’s like getting a free 2nd pairing dman.

Solid win. Mrazek was not great but fine. Thats all we need honestly. JT won this game for us. 2 assists because of him. Defence has looked pretty decent and I think the kids have stepped up. Liked Keefe kept on changing pairings.

That goal he scored I thought was a thinking man’s goal and him being aware of the time and space around him and the clock , you see him looking up at the clock twice and then making his move confidently to score …
Very intelligent of him
I’ve been very very hard on him but the last couple 3 games he’s been solid

Leafs got outreffed in the 2nd. and had a struggle the rest of the way.
They lost their edge, and could have pulled a Detroit but kept it loosely together.
Goalie had a couple key saves.

I agree, it is a better comparison. But I still think Robertson could be that trigger man.

Oh he is a trigger man. No doubt. He just needs to find a way to disengage from the play to get open in scoring areas at times. I think he's so eager to impress that he's playing a very buzzy game. He's almost too involved to get open.

Robertson with 5 minutes this game… You gotta give this kid a better chance to prove he can stick with the big club…
He might be being showcased right now. I don’t believe he’s ready for more responsibility on the big team. He hasn’t played many games at the pro level. He likely needs a full season in the AHL.
