The Captain had a couple of premium vintage JT board domination shifts. Love when he really gets involved.

MM being MM

The 3 line really skated well, that's some fine defence that becomes offense because of that killer speed on the wings, and Kampf is no slouch either.

Lube had a heavy game both ways, nice to have that Polak type warrior back there.

The two kids looking solid again Morgs was his usual self and used his feet really well

Justin Orr

I didn't think they were great tonight, especially on the PP, seriously what the f*** was that PP?, and this game certainly did NOTHING for my confidence in our goaltending as it's another game where they allow 3+.

but they won, and as of this post they are tied in points with Tampa, 1 back of Florida, with a chance to pass Florida in points against Buffalo

Toughness means never backing down. Bring in another Bush (or two) and let's support the team.

A soft team that backs down doesn't win in this league. When they stand up and are counted, they will themselves to victory.

Matthews throwing checks, Tavares playing with authority. These leaders can decide a game even if they don't score.

I didn’t have a problem with any of the goals.

2 on 1 short handed off side shot in from 15 feet is a fine shot.

mrazek made some big saves but he looks so scrambly. We definitely need a new goalie coach. The goalies can’t find their nets.

Yeah, I notice he’s prone to getting himself out of position because he’s so quick out of the net to cut angles.

But I’ll take his >900 sv% and a win everyday.

That’s an average game for him in his career and it’s good enough most every night on this team. Happy for him.

My daughter and I enjoyed the game. I enjoyed it more than her. Lol

Nice to get the win. Didn't dominate but came through in the end. Would like a response to the running around a bit earlier though.

JT might be close to getting out of this thing, he made some key plays in the o-zone!

Holl with 5 pts in 2 games? Mrazek got the job done.

Kind of a nice playoff lite game again. Washington isn't a heavyweight contender anymore they're still heavy. It was nice to see the Leafs prevail there but they really seem to lack heaviness when pushing back. Will be a big factor in a long series.

But he should be put in a position to show what he can do. He's not in the NHL to show his 2-way game, he's here to show his offensive ability.
He's here to get some exposure at this level. He's playing on a decently talented fourth line. In a tight game with a lot of special teams, he won't get a lot of minutes. It's fine.

Sure but can they do it in a 7 game series. I doubt it.

Every time we play them it reminds me of the 2017 playoffs and how my ex and I were so toxic near the end, I wasn't allowed to watch the games on the big tv. Had to watch on my laptop with headphones and still got yelled at for being too loud. Find someone who genuinely shares your interests, not just pretends so you will like them. Anyways, good win.
Koo koo.

It's silly to me too. Put him in the top 6 or send him down. What's he going to learn on the 4th line?

Robertson gets a A+ for effort and made a couple of nice plays to strip pucks in the game. Offensively, I think he almost needs to resist the urge to be the first man in on every forecheck. As a little guy with a big shot you almost want to see him sneak into a scoring area and wait for a pass to rip it. When he's too much of a dog on a bone it helps disrupt but he doesn't get the puck clean and he doesn't have great acceleration, so he'll have to pick his spots.
