Funny you mention this Mr.Hoglund. When I watch players like Mik and Engvall I get taken over with this feeling of dread knowing their style of play is similar to Puff Sens we used to embarrass.

Out of the 4 Atlantic teams we sadly are the Puff Sens of the group. And all 4 are high quality shot teams as well, so Leafs don't have the advantage there either.

This sentence is what I said yesterday, albeit in a more nicer way, and is the nail in the coffin for the "we don't need grit" side. Not gonna waste energy trying to explain to someone 1 + 1 = 2. Seeing posts that we don't need grit is just skippable at this point.

Emphasis on our xGF advantage disappearing when the new season begins.

Miller and a Bogo/Gudas type for the bottom pair sure, just no more wasting assets on 3rd/4th liners. If they want to fix the grit issue they need to do it right instead of constant patchwork.

Totally agree .
Have better luck talking to a wall, skip the post

Useless goon Hathaway has more goals than Tavares' left winger.

My final parting shot. Carry on with your days.

They must absolutely hate seeing Lybushkin finishing checks.

Listen to the beginning of today's Kyper/Bourne show and listen to what the coach of the B2B SC winning coach thinks after their game with the Sens last night.

Nothing more amusing then people convincing themselves that appreciating hits is a sign of deep hockey knowledge.

No surprise that it's these people that need to convince themselves in every post that everyone who disagrees with them simply doesn't watch hockey.

Genuinely curious because I respect your opinion, what is the Leafs biggest area for potential improvement?

IMO it’s lack of killer instinct/grit/balls. Not to say that it’s absolutely necessary for us to win. I think our team is a contender as is. But if I could snap my fingers and improve one area of our game, it would probably be that. The only other thing I can think of is goaltending?

If you could improve only one area of the team, which would it be?
