Good showing from Mrazek there. Nice to see and hopefully something to build upon.
It was 3-1 and it stayed 3-1.
This is all that matters.
it seems like the league is calling 2 penalties against the home team then nothing for the rest of the game. Has been happening in the last 5-6 games, thought I was the only one to notice. What’s with this trend of the Leafs getting PP’s early and then nothing the rest of the game?
Great points
Personally I think that our biggest challenge on our PP , is the lack of a big shooting gun at the point .
We have to many passers on the 1St unit …
A pP is like a Olympic team in a sense , so the best Olympic team has to be made up of a assortment of talents and possibilities of scoring from everywhere in different ways .
We don’t have that , we are to One dimensional and predictable and easy to defend in the playoffs ..
we need a point man that will spread out thePK unit ..

Guy has played 4 games in 4 months for a new team. Normally I agree with the mob but in this case, we need to chill out and let him play a few games before handing down judgement.
We beat a shitty team so no big deal.
One more game like that, and Mrazeks save % will be above .915. With some few games played, one or two good/bad performances in a row can swing things fast.
Give him the weaker teams between now and the deadline, and see if you can rebuild him enough (lets say.910+) to get a positive return for him.
I think if we are going into the TDL and feel safe trading him, his value will be different if he is a +.910 goalie instead of where he is now, -.900.You don't think other NHL teams will realize that? It won't make a difference to his value, just like his value is much higher than people think it is on here.
Great response by the team today. Perfect script that we had to hold a lead. I thought the young D bounced back decently but can be way better
the Isles trading Toews due to cap reasons and keeping vets, only to see them have to play an old Chara in the dying minutes of a game
*chef’s kiss*
3-2-1 playing our worst hockey all though today was a good game. I'll take it.Hey combined 2nd pairing has less than 100 NHL games.
You are correct, it isn't like they're 25 year old veterans, reasonable thought should expect them to get better.
So either Mrazek was good or the defense was good enough, or both.
They won and I thought they only had a few rough spots. With all the accolades ancient Lou gets and how Leafs management is so inept something doesn't add up.
A poster on that forum actually said: Not making excuses but the emotions of Gillies could be weighing on them. Most of these guys have been islanders for a while and Gillies was close to the team...Love slapping the Isles, always great to see TWS and company go back into hiding. My god is that fanbase cringey, get over it lol he's been gone for 3 years they're still salty about it. Refs were garbage near the end of the game, Isles got away with a couple missed calls. Good game overall, I thought Matthews was gonna score for sure, he was buzzing. Marner looked really good again too. Good for Mrazek as well, huge confidence boost.

I have noticed you be more positive lately. Anything to that? Not calling you out just wondering.
I don’t mind Simmonds on the 4th line. Spezza as much as I love him has really lost a step in his game which is understandable given his age.It is a process.
Build the better roster and be willing to make change.
3rd. line is legit.
Be nice to see them make the fourth line a young energy line that can Hound the other team.
