Crucial response game on the road. It was boring, uneventful, routine and we didn’t need a lot of heroics from the big guns, Mrazek wasn’t too busy but was solid. And held onto a lead.

Ugly, terrible game, but none of the mistakes that cost them against Colorado, Vegas and the Rangers, and Mrazek has to be feeling it and that’ll help, Jack should play 55 games max.

In the end it was a 3-2-1 road trip. Not terrible considering the teams and the poor play/goaltending.

Hopefully the boys can get fired up to play at home even though there will be zero crowd.

Solid first two periods especially on the road with their younger D out there. Unimpressive third period but Islanders couldn't break through..

Mrazek earned his salary tonight as Leafs need every point they can muster. He stood in with conviction.

Perhaps Kase should move into the top six. Kerfoot and Bunting are picking up points playing passenger, but it would be nice to have someone 'keep up' with the core.

This restores some confidence in Mrazek. It was supposed to be a 1A/1B goaltending situation, and hopefully this is a sign of things to come from Mrazek.

Would have liked to see a bit more pushback physically, especially when they were taking runs at Leafs players.

Always very satisfying defeating the Islanders in their arena.
