He got dominated most of the night by the matchup (super slow) and then had two opportunities to score which he did. Like its not like he was dominant. He played how we need him to play. Average that takes takes advantage of opportunities.

The first thing that should stick out to everyone in this is the INSANE discrepancy in penalty minutes in Tampa's wins vs our wins.

Officiating has no effect on this series eh? You're legitimately a sped if you believe that.

Adjusted penalty minutes being what is described in the reddit post: fighting majors, boarding majors, pucks over glass, too many men (you must realize this is doing Tampa a massive favor excluding all of this)
Game's 2, 4 and 6 combined adjusted penalty minutes against Toronto: 40 minutes
Game's 2, 4 and 6 combined adjusted penalty minutes against Tampa: 22

Like what the flying f*** even is this? In the games they've won we've gotten almost double the f***ing penalty minutes?!?!

There is no conceivable way in hell you can deny that officiating hasn't influenced this series to the core.

Nah, this can't be possible. No way Shanahan will be allowed to continue after overseeing the Leafs setting the NHL record for most consecutive opening round losses with 6 (I'm including the 2020 play ins as an opening round).

They wouldn't be setting the record.

This doesn’t feel like any previous Game 7 in the Matthews era, where it seemed hopeless. I’m cautiously optimistic.

Even if they do lose, I’m actually okay if they run it back with the core guys.
