Leafs have the winning recipe vs Tampa and need to execute it. Come out big and be the dominant force on home ice and run them out of the building. Tampa was on the ropes and didn’t have the biggest push to start Game 6 in the first period. Pad that margin so NHL officiating can’t decide things. Everyone knows what to do.

Tampa are on life support. It’s critical to get an early lead but I’m expecting a cagey 1st. Stars and everyone can show up but it’s not going to matter if Campbell isn’t on point.

Jack Campbell is the biggest X factor here.

Strangely, I liked our game last night, thought we showed up, competed hard and had great resolve.

Now let’s do it, we’re at home, this is our time, slay the dragon.

You aren’t wrong by any means but this exact post can be applied after game 6 against Montreal last year.

This is the definition of a coin flip.

Leaf have dominated the series and won 4 of 6, they'll now have to win 5 of 7. I just hope the refs call the game the way it should be called. If they can do that, this should be a relatively "easy" win. If we have to beat Tampa + the refs again, it's 50/50

I feel like a cagey start plays into Tampa’s energy level and sets up for a close finish. If we have the legs I want to see us run them out of the building and have that hostile crowd just on them. We should be younger, hungrier and angry as hell after that Game 6.

My opinion, if we lose this core it will take at least another decade before we have another contending team.
At this point in time, there is no substantial evidence to prove we have a contending team now.

Yep.
IMO Tampa didn't earn any of their 3 (regulation) goals. We handed them the first 2 and the refs gave them the 3rd

Absolutely. Except they made me sick Game 6 last year with their “effort” until the end.

If anyone managed to grab potentially extra tailgate tickets pm me I"m interested. I was in the que but too far back and it then went darn it.

Game 7, in Toronto, Saturday night. It's going to be epic. The table is set. Time to slay some dragons in front of our home crowd.

Tampa is beatable. The better team lost last night due to unforced errors. (Kerfoot drop pass, high sticking penalty in Tampa's end on the PK, etc.)

Come out playing hard and fast. Score first, hit, pursue the puck relentlessly and eliminate the errors. We got this!

Jack needs to be sharp. No soft, deflating goals.

This year has a much different feel. Our best players have been our best players. We've competed hard. Finish it and take the next step. It's time!

Go Leafs Go !

Don’t even know how to feel. In years past it felt like in elimination games the team just gave up. Yesterday the boys were giving it their all.

There are no morale victories in the playoffs, but I’m no where near as upset about yesterday as I was any of the losses against Montreal, Columbus or Boston.

Did you not watch the games? They're going to game 7 with the defending two time Stanley cup champions, with home ice advantage and an advantage in goals. The loser attitude some of you have is beyond ridiculous.

Easy there BaySt

They can certainly win, and I think they will.

BUT...... just making it to the last game of a preliminary series without winning for 4 or 5 years is not evidence of being a contender IMO.

Love to be called a non-hockey fan by mouth-breathers. I am judging the Leafs by how they played (well).
Are you the person behind EvolvingWild? That's who I was referring to.

Also, referring to someone as stupid you do not know because they disagree with your line of thinking is exactly what uninformed and immature people do......you have given no room for you to concede that you might be incorrect.

Yup, no need to be nervous. This is an exciting opportunity. HNIC, packed Maple Leafs Square. Millions of Leafs fans tuned in worldwide.

This is what you live for.

We got this!!!!

100% win rate with #43 in the line-up. Make the right decision Keefe.

I'm serious.

A couple observations. Bunting has to be way better to justify first line minutes, he was really ineffective and for my money the worst forward last game.

Boosh actually played more 5 v 5 than any other game, Keefe had him out with a minute to go which was new wrinkle and speaks to his play. Leads in hits, had 5 key blocks last night and he was really solid, maybe his best game so far.

Call me delusional but if the leafs can beat Tampa I can see them getting to the cup finals. Losing this year will sting! This is without a doubt the hardest first round match up they had.

I feel the same way, this will be their toughest opponent in the east and if they can just win it will do wonders for this group.

There is no other possible matchup that even concerns me.

Tampa should be very scared.
TO has had no problem scoring on them.

If Tampa doesnt get those wonky calls there not close in game 6.

Get on them early boys!

For real, they got away with 2 too many men on the ice penalties!. They got Kerfoot out there and the refs don't even notice that Tampa has more players playing of them than we do!! Blinded.
