What do you think they do with the D pairings?
Lessons for D men are learned over 4-5 seasons playing with a vet ... kinda makes me LOL when fans think D rooks pick things up in a game .. it is thousands of game reps in different situations
Leafs have too much lessons. It tortured leafs fans constantly. How wrong you are
Lessons are learned every single game in every single situation they haven't experienced before
Players can learn and put what they have learned into practice after just one game
That's what we call "improvement" or "getting better"
This is an ACADEMIC philosophy for ya youngins ... but it is NOT day-to-day reality of playing minor, junior or pro hockey ... I can tell you playing MTHL hockey for 7 years, O hockey for 4 years and 7 years in I that defenders learn from their vet partners over extended game reps .. one day of coaching practice or game certainly can help, and learnings are not linear and sometimes there is even regression if partners are not a good match ... but to think ANY defender is making serious game changing learnings after 1 game is believin in WILLY WONKAHow wrong you are

Growing pains, you have to accept you're going to see them with young players
Lately nobody can score until they play the LeafsIslanders can’t score but if they let us jump out to a 2 or 3 goal lead they’ll be guaranteed to pot 4 or more.
Food for thought. On the Kipper show, they said Toffoli said that once Muzzin went down, they knew they would beat the Leafs. He was not wrong.
In their last ten games they are 7-2-1, and have allowed only 19 goals (14 in 8 games at home).Really need to get back on track. I believe the Islanders are starting to get back to their stingy defensive ways as well.

Unfortunately this team is trying to win a SC.

We are also developing some young defenseman to
Hopefully we won't need them in the top 4 come playoff time but we need them to do that job now
They will learn lessons but I think his point is it will take 4-5 seasons for them to actually be good enough and comfortable enough to be relied upon in an all situation roleGrowing pains, you have to accept you're going to see them with young players
Bull****
I also played top level sport and I learnt lessons from day 1, it's called "gradual improvement"
Not 300 games and I'm the finished product but man did I suck up until then, didn't learn ****
They saw the Panarin line, it isn't getting harder than that and they will learn lessons from that
Not this time but it points out that other players think Muzzin is more important then Marner.???? But.......... wasn't it Marners fault?
