Rielly-Liljegren is interesting if Dermott is out. Sandin stuck with Holl

You have to assume it's just a placeholder for Dermott.I've loved Liljegren since he's come back in but that's one hell of a challenge he'd be getting
He comes through that without getting shown up by the Tampa forwards it's going to be a magnificent effort
You can also assume that it is potentially related to Dermott missing most of the 2nd period with an injury last night. Swelling may have increased when he took his foot out of the skate. You have to assume it's just a placeholder for Dermott.

Lilly has been great but top pair against Tampa? that seems like a risk they don't need to take
Slightly OT, but why is it year after year the Leafs draw the short end of the stick when it comes to PP opportunities, and times short handed?
They thought enough of it that they took x-rays. A negative result, but even a bone bruise can keep you out weeks. Hope it is nothing serious. You can also assume that it is potentially related to Dermott missing most of the 2nd period with an injury last night. Some would say 10 games is a small sample size where they are currently 27th in PP opportunities, but it's been going on for years. Especially a puck possession team like Toronto. It really makes no sense.

This is the answer, if you want more PP time you need to take more penalties. Ridiculous, but the way it is in the NHL.Game management is my assumption.
Penalties taken vs penalties drawn end up being pretty even for teams over the course a season.
So because we don't take a lot of penalties, the refs don't try to even up the calls.
Is that actually a thing though? The teams that take the most penalties are also on the PP the most. This is the answer, if you want more PP time you need to take more penalties. Ridiculous, but the way it is in the NHL.

We don't dive or drive enough. Taking pucks to the net draws a lot of penalties. We don't dive enough.

That third line is really a fourth line: 3 goals in 10 games with a combined shooting pct. of ~6% ... and I still think they're over-achieving.
Holy crap Liljegren with Rielly?
Sucks for Dermott cause he didn't play his way out of the lineup at all.
