Kase hasn't looked the same since he was initially injury earlier in the year.

I think he's better than Spezza on paper but I think I keep Spezza in because we know he can be pretty clutch. 2nd PP has been better with him too.

We'll see after tomorrow though.

I think Kase has been pretty good, had a great game one and hasn’t really been a negative in any way since.

Simmonds took two penalties that both resulted in PPG against, bad luck, bad timing, whatever it is Wayne’s been done since December. At least Spezza wins face offs and finds ways to chip in offensively.

I like the way they’ve been giving it back to Tampa. What a bunch of studio gangsters that Tampa team is. Boston, Washington, the Islanders, Calgary and St Louis are tough teams. If Jon Cooper is as smart as he probably thinks he is he’d sit Maroon, he’s been a big liability for Tampa.

Kerfoot Matthews Marner
Bunting JT Willy
Engvall Kampf Mikheyev
Kase Spezza Blackwell

Is that what you'd go with or is that the projected lineup?

Bunting on the second line sounds good to me. Both lines weren't really dominant at 5 on 5 in game 3, so maybe this will shake it up a little bit. Tavares has GOT to get going offensively. I love the third and forth line scoring, but you need your second line to score goals too.

I really hope they leave Simmonds and Clifford on the bench, they aren't needed right now. The games are far too important to give away powerplays like candy.

No surprises. Nice to see everyone in attendance.
Keeping the lineup intact. I guess you don't mess with the winning lineup.

I worry about Kerfoot. He took a really bad, momentum-shifting penalty in game 2,and then made that bizarre play on PK in game 3 that resulted in a goal against.

I'd kind of like to see them load up the top line with Nylander. Drop Kerfoot to the 4th line and try Bunting with Tavares.

Kerfoot has been really good, he deserves more minutes.

He's been okay. He definitely tries hard. 1G 0A through three games though, and two huge mistakes IMO. I actually like Kerfoot and thought he was one of the best players last year against Montreal. I just hope he cleans things up for game 4.

I feel pretty good about game 4. One concern i have is how much room we're leaving their point men in our D zone. If we could find a way to maintain the low coverage while cutting down on their space i'd feel much more comfortable. Maybe i'm just shell shocked from earlier in the season when all those long range shots were finding their way into our net, but i do get nervous.

Kerfoot gets in trouble when he holds onto the puck too long. If there's any doubt, just dump it at the net or in the corner. Other than that I think Keefe trusted him more than bunting in the d zone and made the change midway through the game for that reason, when that line was kind of running around.

Game day!

lmao let's chill out. Spezza is a fine player but Maroon has won 3 Stanley cups in a row and was a mainstay on the 4th line in all 3 cup runs.

Being up 2-1 doesn't mean we won the series. Spezza wasn't a reason we won last night lmao
That's not the point. Maroon and Simmonds are costing their teams respectively. If we can take out guys costing our team and replace them with players who don't, that's a win.

Check out their board. They want him off the team...3 cups or not, we are exposing his weaknesses.

Tonight we end Tampa's season. DON'T TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF OF THEIR NECK. LOOK FOR TAVARES AND SPEZZA TO HAVE BIG GAMES: LEADERSHIP
Is it two for one night in the wins department?
Still disappointed to see Lilly not in the lineup but if we win, we win.
I think the coaching staff is only going to start him at home. They must have picked up on something teams are taking advantage of him on the road.

Can't end their season tonight, we have only 2 wins. But lets hope we end their will to survive tonight, maybe end their season at home.

"Vasy’s proven how good he is over the course of his NHL career,” Campbell said. “So it’s a fun challenge. And, I mean, I’d be lying if I said I don’t want to do my best to beat him."

atta boy Soup.

Wounded animal. I expect Tampa to come out like they finished Game 3. Need to get out of the first period tied at worst. If we can weather the storm (no pun intended) I think we will be successful

Can’t take their foot off the pedal like they did in game 3.

Bunting doesn't look right, I don't know what his injury is but he looks like he's struggling to keep up with play
Good point but Kase doesn't look the same as before either. At least Bunting can scrum around the net for Jt and nylander.

Nylander would have had clean breakaway last game but Kase jumped in front of him and shouted for the puck as well. This can't be happening the playing styles aren't geling they need a Bunting type since january. Defenceman tried to hit Kase instead and they didn't connect.

Bunting to second line is the expected play I assume. Only reason Kase stayed there last game was because Nylander was already there. With a top 6 on the 4th line, Kase will be demoted by the 2nd period if he doesn't pick it up.

Also I saw that. Nylander looked pissed skating back to the bench.

They need to get both Nylander and JT going, hopefully tonight, it would go a long way to heading back to Toronto up 3-1.

88-34-16 Will should be able to shine with these two guys, as long as he keeps his feet moving

58-91-15 JT gets the hustling grinders he seems to excel with

65-64-47 fantastic the way these guys have come together, highly effective and dangerous, nuff said

I like that Tavares line a lot and if we keep our third intact that would build that NMM line.

Tampa picked up where they left off in game 3 and have throttled the Leafs tonight so far. That's dangerous confidence to give to the Lightning.

Tampa's gaining momentum and the Leafs are being shown by the back to back Champs what a Cup team looks like.
