This is what I find hilarious (and predictable), as soon as the leafs show any pushback and even initiate physicality out come a parade of whistles.

I don't know what was worse the fact that that little hook by Lyubushkin was called or that Tampa grabbed a hold of one of our players without the puck and threw him into the net right after and it wasn't.

This Tampa team is running on fumes as they visibly saged in the third period.

They can't skate with us if we play our speed game.

If we cut the penalties out this series is ours, atleast the ones that we can control anyway.

In Game #1: Leafs brought their A game (played a near perfect mistake free one) and Tampa brought their D game (barely showed up nor could complete 3 passes in a row).

In Game #2: Leafs brought their B game (played undisciplined and took needless penalties) and Tampa brought their B game ( delivered payback for game #1 as expected but mainly redemption for their own play).

We have yet to see Leafs A game vs Tampa A game in this series. Where both teams are at their best particularly where each goalie plays like they can't be beaten, and it tales OT to decide the winner perhaps instead of lopsided game scores.

Yeah, I don't understand why they can't just call it fairly. It's really discouraging.

To paraphrase Mike Johnson on Overdrive today, it's up to the players to figure out the refereeing standard early in the game and adjust accordingly. At the very least, we need to do fewer stupid things while still being physical.

What if we bring our D+ game and they bring their C- game?

Guys I'm having a change of heart on the 4th line. The way this series is being officiated there is no room for tough guys.

Simmonds and Clifford have shown they cannot control themselves on the ice and it's costing the team big time. Had the Leafs pk not put on an all world display in GM 1 could be down 0-2 not entirely on penalties but mostly. Tampa is just too good to be this sloppy I cannot believe the number of penalties the Leafs have taken.

Sorry can't be trusted. What the Leafs really need is more guys like Blackwell on the 4th. Smart, high energy, up and down the ice with a bit of edge.
Are you a disinformation spy for Tampa?

Tampa as a team didn’t really give a damn all year until the last couple weeks. (Kuch and Point’s numbers are useless)

The Bolts are very dangerous when engaged. That said I think you guys have the magic and this is the year your team has finally matured and is ready to win a round. I’m nervous for the Lightning.

Good luck guys. I will tell you it won’t be easy. Bolts are better than you think.

I dont think one of us believes Tampa to be any less than a top 2-3 team in the league when engaged... We are very aware of how great they really are but we also believe in our team

I think you’re wrong, and you’re mistakenly thinking Tampa has a magical gear that isn’t there

I want to see a game with 2 PPs each max. Give me some 5-on-5 for 52 minutes. I bet neither team runs away with it, and the Leafs are probably the better team. Whether or not they can score on Vasi when it matters will be the key.

Whoever loses tomorrow will have heavy pressure on them on Sunday.

Well Tavares and Nylander are still 0-0-0 points and not been much of a factor yet and Stamkos is 0-1-1 point and Brayden Point who has lead the playoffs in scoring the past 2 years with 14 goal each has only recorded 1 goal and been not very effective yet.,

Some of the stars have come to play Matthews and Marner and Kucherov and Hedman but both sides still have passengers that could really impact a game and series to elevate it to above what we have seen through 2 games .IMO

The best is still to come.

Ordered some Red Lobster tonight; here is hoping Campbell plays light out tomorrow ;)

I think their team is old. It’s worn and tired, and it shows 5v5. They don’t have the juice they used to. They absolutely cannot play with us 5v5 through 2 games, and it’s our own fault for not being up 2-0 in the series.

Nylander and Tavares need to start producing.
You’re correct, but the difference between the two is that one has generated chances for himself and others, and the other one has been little more than a faceoff specialist. I love Johnny, but he needs to get into this series, or we’re going to continue to have dog fights. They already can’t match us at even strength. If Tavares is going, we’re walking these clowns out in a hurry.

Stamkos in the 16 games in April had 12 goals 21 assists 33 points and one of the hottest players in the NHL in the last month and he is still M.I.A.

Willy and JT also have not been factors so I am expected still another gear and level of play from both teams in this series.

These teams still have ammunition in reserve on both sides that we haven't seen the best of yet..

TB also has Conn Smyth goalie Vas in net who gets better as the playoffs continues, and may be the best goalie on the planet, so I don't think Leafs are walking the 2 time Cup champs out without what I'm expecting to be a long and hard fought battle.
