Does @The CyNick only post in the offseason? Haven't seen him around all season. Same for @Poulin4PM. Where are you boys at?

I know those guys have been critical, but what exactly did the Leafs prove during this regular season exactly? It's not like they have proven anyone wrong yet. Everyone knows this is a very good regular season team.

Narratively, it’d be awesome for this franchise to get its 50th win and set a new record for points in a season against the team now managed by our former general manager who was in charge of that 105 point season.

It’d also be sweet to eliminate the Islanders from playoff contention. Granted they’re dead in that regard anyway but it’d be nice to be the ones to officially do it.

I’m not really interested in the having a chance to officially eliminate the isles angle personally. Doesn’t move the needle for me. I am excited however about the prospect of us setting the new franchise record tonight, continuing to lockdown home ice for the playoffs, Matthews’ quest for 60 goals and 50 assists, Marner’s climb to 100 points. Lots of more fun storylines than playing official spoiler to a team and fanbase that clearly knows they aren’t making it. I don’t really take much pleasure in other teams’ mediocrity; maybe for me that’s the impacts of being a fan of a team that was stuck there for such a painfully long time.

And Laine. And Draisatl. And Eichel.

Drai at least makes sense. Very different players but both great goal scorers and Drai puts up alot of points.

Laine was never close to the same player. Eichel made a little bit of sense at the beginning. Boeser and Petterson were comical comparisons and to a lesser extent Aho.

In the end I don't really care if Matthews is the best, 3rd best, or 5th best. He's a joy to watch and it's awesome having one of the best players in the league. Now for some team success in the playoffs.

I think that's more to do with teams not wanting to get Injured playing against a team that plays heavy and is essentially out of the playoffs.

I'm noticing a trend of top teams not wanting to go in the dirt at the end of the season against teams trying to prove something.

At this point after 3 years of not having a full season playing 82 games after just takes forever, players just want to get it over with and get to the playoffs.

Might be the reason we don't play that hard against bottom feeders and only start playing in the late 2nd period and 3rd.

I've considered this as well, was going to mention last night the idea that they try not to overextend for obvious reasons.

A strong forecheck/net presence still has to be incorporated, by some players or lines. Reinforce good habits.

It is hard to rest star players along the way, so hopefully the 3-4 days rest from the end of the season until playoffs begin is enough rest.

Remember when a certain thread/crew said they'd take Lou still.. bahahahahahha.

Leafs win by 3+

Heard gates open at 6, bringing my son for his first leaf game. I heard no matter what seats you have you can go up close to watch the players practice? Never done this before, any tips on when to get there?

Honestly, Matthews is only 8 points back of McDavid right now. All it takes is one massive game here and the Art Ross could be within striking distance. Let's hope him and Marner absolutely embarrass them and Marner can hit 100 (only needs 7 more points) soon.

I just looked again to make sure. They took away Matthews' assist on the first Brunting goal. WTF. Matthews would have led the league in ppg

thats a clear matthews assist. NHL is a f***ing JOKE

Mentioned this during the GDT.

Wtf is going on here, seriously. I've seen them give so many ghost assists to McDavid and Drai but they're taking away a clear aassist for Matthews?

Doesn't help when they're intentionally taking away points from Matthews.

NHL is such a f***ing bush league, my god.

McDrai get awarded free points/shots etc... while they keep taking points away from Matthews, Marner etc... this is not the first time either.

The anti-Leaf agenda is so obvious

Playing the Islanders seems like a good time to remind people Tavares is going to finish with over 80 points and help lead this team to their best regular season in franchise history.

I go back and sign that deal 100 of 100 times, guy is a stud.

Seriously? Their entire shtick is masquerading as Leafs fans when all they do is bash the team and troll this board. It's a f***ing disgrace they're even allowed to do it in the first place.
