It matters less who starts but how they start. You want the opening line to be pit bulls out there to start a game or period.

Thats where our upgrade needs to come. Reilly + for that defender would be great but those top end d never get traded.

Not sure where Rielly ranks, but if we were
to compare the Leafs to the Lightning, Penguins, Blackhawks and Capitals he’s not as good as Hedman, Letang, Keith and Carlson.

I would be interested to see what the Avs do with Bowen Byram when his ELC ends. Or if they move off Toews who is great all around, or Girard, who is a dynamic offensive defenseman but is buried behind a few guys.
