I think it's more a symptom of how little ice time he sees consistently. Keefe has to be the coach I have seen the most whom overcoaches and obsesses about line matching more than anything. Breaking up the first line after game 1 despite them having 3 goal contributions, bringing in Holl despite Lily and Gio being our best pairing and absolutely zero adjustments to the PP despite no movement being seen on any PP in 3 games. I realize some of this has to fall on the players if not most, but Keefe's decisions are baffling to say the least.

Marner has the 5th lowest 5v5 ice time as I type this. Engvall has more than matthews LOL

Imagine having a fast, defensively responsible 2C who has gamebreaking speed and IQ. Instead we have a past his prime, slow, Jason Allison clone

Looks like the bad old Leafs in the middle/late stages of a playoff round. Tampa forechecked hard for 1 minute and the whole house of cards fell apart in Game 4, so who knows what happens in the next two. No killer instinct.

If we had Clifford or Simmonds in we honestly may have been able to take momentum back with a huge hit or fight.

But no - Keefe got terrified of penalties so they're gone, then we demoted Bunting to the 4th line (our best agitator) and now we are a completely emotionless and sterile team that has been victimized by the intensity of Tampa.

Yup. Part of that is being on the PK so often but we see it with our own eyes. I see Engvall's number more than Matthews every game.
