Dude....why would the Leafs continue this strategy if they add Chych to the lineup is what I'm saying. He adds a dynamic we currently lack. They can continue their current strategy....PLUS do more. This isn't difficult. We become harder to defend and can run more plays if we add him.
If you want to debate the viability of the strategy I'm open to a conversation. I think it's telling that the best teams in the league (apart from Toronto) are generally closer to the top of the list than the bottom. However, that is besides the point. The Leafs philosophy is to pass up low percentage looks for higher percentage looks. That doesn't mean they wouldn't try to have Chychrun attack as a trailer in the slot ala Rielly, but his total number of shots would suffer because they want their forwards taking the majority of their shots.
