Two games in a row with multiple-goal blown leads in the 3rd. We've been MUCH better at locking down all season to this point - I'd really like to see that not happen for the next ~10 games. If it does, well we have ourselves a trend (again).

The circumstances are difficult for the Leafs, so that needs to be balanced out in the critique but they just look like they lost most of their good habits and are reverting to a quick strike steal a win kind of team.

I'm hoping a few games this week will help shake off the rust. They were so good before COVID shut down the arena's. Not that we've been awful, but we could be better.

Hopefully it’s just rust. They look really off on a lot of their puck possession decisions and those east west passes look so wonky. Guys like Tavares, Spezza, Muzzin and Holl also look like they’re on energy saver mode half the time.

I'm assuming Marazek is playing tonight, if there was ever a game to get his confidence up this is it, it's Arizona

Yup that was confirmed last game that Mrazek plays tonight.

Going to be interesting to see how the Leafs look without Campbell, thank goodness its Arizona and not a good team on the schedule.

Can't imagine the Leafs losing this one even without our All-star goalie playing.

Hard one really to predict i think as it could go a thousand ways ... what scares me as how we lost our legs completely in 3rd periods of last 2 games .. looks like COVID legs for sure .. but also back to backs on top of that .. man this could get ugly or we could jump on them quick score with skill and hold on .. i guess it depends on backup tender and if we have jump in 1st period .. either way not a smart game to bet on

Very disapointed in last night's game. That was a poor showing
Hopefully they can start winning and playing properly

I am so done with Ritchie and Clifford. Just give some kids from AHL the spot. At least you can develop their game.
There's nothing with these two

I think that at this point you're simply hoping Ritchie gets a little bit "hot" so you can showcase him and ship him at the deadline enabling you to return an upgrade. Being able to move his 2.5 million at the deadline could be key to a quality acquisition.

Yeah Ritchie just has to go. Even if he does get "hot" you just KNOW he's going to take a bad penalty at the worst possible time, just not worth the risk.

I agree Ritchie and Clifford have to go but giving AHL kids a chance is not the answer this is not a development year

If we play Bruins or Florida then Ritchie can be an influencer in how games unfold .. Bruins and Panthers will have to step up and then a complete and total beat down of someone in front of their bench should finish them off .. refs will try to get Ritchie out of game cause Jacobs knows he can't intimidate Leafs with Ritche roaming round out there .. refs will be instructed to get Ritchie tossed .. sad but true

Any news on Marner or Engvall?

ANY news that Clifford and Ritchie are healthy scratches would be welcome news

Also hope Liljegren is back in ... how many 3rd period blown leads in a row are we gonna have to see before Keefe changes up the defense and get Timmeth some ice time?

Right? Like what is up with this dude's usage. I just do not understand the downside of shuffling Lilly into the lineup like he was earlier in the season. It does the kid absolutely no good sitting press box for 15-20 game stretches.

Wanna give a shout out to Michael Bunting, who I thought was one of our few players who had an outstanding game last night. Quietly on pace for 50 points while eating up less than $1,000,000 on the salary cap, expecting him to be pretty motivated against his former team tonight too along with Matty.

I was fine with him sitting after 2 games with the defence playimg well, but it hasn't been good last 2 games and with a back to back, no reason for him not to play today. Getting Covid at the wrong time really cost him. I think if he didn't, Keefe would stick with Muzzin-Liljegren.

What's the confidence level with Mrazek in there tonight?
