Have been pleasantly surprised with Simmonds the last two games, and I thought he looked good in pre-season.

He has looked much better. Doesn't look out of place
With him it has to be game management. Can't play every game, maybe ever 2 or 3 games

if history and the posters on this board have taught me anything, it is this 6 game sample size is a better indicator of his finishing ability than the last 3 seasons.

Well either he's washed up and will be a 12-15 goal man from here on out or his luck will start to change if he keeps generating chances

Robertson has a bomb. Should get him into a point position for the PP and see how that goes.

Not having a shot from up top is brutal. I miss the days of McCabe ripping some bombs in off a Kaberle pass.

Rielly is a better skater, puck mover, passer, and I would even say has a more accurate wrist shot.

Of course, most of that doesn't matter with the way we use our defenseman on the top unit.

That line is generating a lot, just can't convert.

It is the typical start of the season overreactions from everyone, Nichuskin will win the scoring race and Matthews will finish with 15 goals.

We don't really have many people shooting unsustainably, except unsustainably bad, like a lot of other teams.

Sandin has better shooting in all aspects than Rielly but it sucks that you're right about everything else. Shooting is the skill you need most from your D on the PP but Sandin just doesn't have enough of the other things to make him a better option than Rielly so far.

In transition. But in the o-zone, Rielly telegraphs everything he does. Sandin disguises his shots/passes way better and has more deception which is why his shots actually get through.
