Honestly one of the best games of Matthews career.

Don’t sleep on the Dermott Lil pairing tonight, they were really good.

Playoff lite type game. Everyone played within the team structure, very few mistakes, the goaltending was excellent, they came by their shot total honestly and by battling and the big gun was the difference maker. Didn't miss the Muzzin Holl pairing either.

Timothy Liljergen had such a good game tonight, he was doing everything whether it was good pinches to keep it in the zone or solid checks to disrupt the wild when we were in the defensive zone

That was the best Mrazek has looked, but also the best defensive performance he's gotten. The offense wasn't super effective, but Matthews was the difference maker he needed to be

I honestly wish someone knocked Zuccarelo's front teeth out after that bitch move on Kerfoot. But other then that, no complaints.

Matthews tied for fourth in league scoring and has two games in hand on McDavid with a 9 point gap. Schedule is pretty soft coming up so might see a bit of a run here.
