Post-Game Talk: Leafs slap Boston a lot harder than Will Smith slapped Chris Rock. 6-4 Win.

I know bruins fans are dumb, but man they don’t even acknowledge the leafs playing that entire 3rd with 4 dmen lol.

This game was not close.

Leafs had four D play over 20 min. each, Brodie played 26! Nearly have the gamre ffs and he is on the PK too.

The Bruins were well rested against a tired Leaf team that just played Florida. They are at home in front of their usual drunk crowd and last shift in their favour.

They have no excuses. It would be better to accept defeat for the second time this year against the Leafs and sit silently in shame. There is more honour in that.

Suspend Hall. Insert Simmonds next game just to fight Hall.
Simmonds doesn’t fight anymore. Clifford chooses not to fight as well. What use are they?

Anyways, great game by all. Special mention has to go to Lily. He’s been so much more controlled since paired with Gio. Gio is such a steadying influence.

Congrats to Matthews for his 49th but he hasn’t looked himself the past two games. Shows how talented he is still picking up points and great passes.

If they can't fight, can't hit, can't score and can't skate... Why are they out there at all? I get loyalty and all that, but this is a crucial season for this franchise.

The Boston fanbase has to be one of the most toxic and least knowledgeable about hockey in the league, right?

Berty, I'm sorry if this is against the rules.

They are knowledgeable fans but far more entitled than their team deserves. They have one Cup since '72 (admittingly some strong playoff runs), but they act as if they have a dozen Cups since the Orr years.

Its wild isn't it? When Matthews cross checked Dahlin they were talking about a suspension during the game broadcast, much less the intermission or post game show...

Partly because lets face it, Hall is going towards irrelevant territory.

I was really hoping Clifford would do something stupid in 6-2 game

It's a good thing he didn't. Considering we were down 2 D

Next time. Just dress Cliff and Simmonds. Let them have a go at it

they are placeholders for knies :P

Can't wait. Happy for him that he's going to the Frozen Four but the 7th and 9th are the last couple of days even if his team wins. Signs shortly after, skates with the team for a couple of days while recovering from his season then comes in ready to destroy the league!

He had his run. Time to move on from him. As you can the 4th line is much better without him. Even now it's not that good. I still think Spezza is done

Really hoping Nick A or Knies can fill in

#dontengage

Just saw Clifford walk away from a hit from McAvoy lol. This shits coming from upstairs

If anyone needed to be hit in that team is McAvoy for me. Love that dude as a D, hate that guy as a fake tough guy

I'm almost positive Sheldon told Cliff that he wasn't to do anything stupid in the 3rd. That sequence where MacAvoy leveled him at our blueline while he was trying to pinch it out.. I totally expected Cliff to turn around and jump him.. but he didn't and just skated away. That was telling.

Still would have preferred Simmer out there tonight, though.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, LOVE BEATING THE PUNK A&& BRUINS!!

I also repeat, they should continue to keep JT & Nylander separate other than the odd time that they may need to press for some offense. Both players are starting to look great on their respective lines. Even the 4th line looked good today.

That's good. I mean in a 6-2 game that was turning into a goon show, why put two guys who just had head injuries back into it? Makes sense.

I'm surprised we didn't at least see 1 of them, given we were down to 4D.

Interesting that Keefe said they had a few forwards ready to play D if the 4D were struggling to cope in the 3rd.

I made a pretty gutsy call, saying I saw a young Larry Robinson in Lilly. Robinson was top five dmen of all time btw.

Still pretty gutsy to say that, but here we go.

And giraffe? Man, he is so incredible defensively, someone is going to throw some serious bucks at my boy and its going to hurt me like a gut punch.

Kerfoot on his goal: "I've tried that move quite a few times, this year, and it hasn't worked once, yet. So, I thought I'd go for one more."

LOVE IT. If it doesn't work "stick with it".

Spezza had a good game and is much better at wing. He's not done.

He had a good start then that line trailed off. Probably because B's were line matching

But that's the thing, he's too slow and late to most plays. At home is one thing, on the road, he gets out worked and skated
