from everything i've read, and what i saw from him at the world juniors, i always thought kris russell was a good comparable. a shorter guy who's responsible defensively, blocks every puck he can, and has decent transition ability.

I remember that's what a defenseman was supposed to do. Now everyone is just concerned with how many points a d man puts up.
Stay home, clear the crease, move the puck out smartly and break up the cycle. That makes me think defenseman

Holl will be long gone by the time Kokkonen is ready to be an NHL regular, if he ever actually develops into an NHLer.
