He was at the Wings dev camp last year and made it all the way to the main camp. He did well on a bad Flint team. Physical defenseman with above average skating. Had a big jump in offensive numbers this year, but he was an overager so it's not his forte.

Seems an odd target in that there’s already a bunch on the left and not much on the right. Projection wise, it makes sense give t the Leafs left side is all older but it does extend an organizational imbalance.
Are they just gonna walk away from previous regime picks? Swap RFA’s?
At the A level: Webber, Chadwick, Prokop are all waiver exempt ELC’s next year, Smith makes four with Kokkonen an inexpensive waiver eligible RFA. That’s before Rifai.
On the right, there’s no ELC’s and no waiver exempt guys, just RFA Niemela and WillyNeuve.

Just need 1 or 2 of these guys to hit and become cheap mainstays in our bottom 4.
We have a massive #1D hole, but that’s not going to be fixed by any free wallet pickup.
Tanev was a free wallet at one point...
No clue about this guy, but size without skill is nothing, it's why Webber is nothing.
It is just weird to put down arguably our best D prospect.

Still lots of time. He will have a full summer of training and knows better what to expect to be better at this level
As I said about the last 2 free prospects. A free prospect is never a bad thing. Most don’t turn into anything but some do.
Best to mostly forget about him for a year or 2 and hope to be surprised.
