I'm just here to see if everyone is putting a ton of stock into us coming back today as they did in Florida coming back against us yesterday.
Worth noting Tampa went 6 and 4 over their final 10 games last season, and lost their final 3 games before starting the playoffs. Being hot or cold at the very tail end of the season probably doesn't matter all that much.
Everything is reset game 1 of the first series.
Feels like they care about home ice, but it's behind some other priorities like healthSurely that is evenly countered by the fans who believe every result was the exact result we wanted? It's like a 50/50 split.
We had fans trying to convince everyone that while down 3-1, the Leafs players and management didn't care whether or not they got home ice advantage in the 1st round against the back to back Cup Champs.
This is the first time. There needs to be a rebalance, imo.Just looking at the East standings.. When was the last time all 8 teams that qualified for the playoffs in either conference all over 100+ points?
Thats actually crazy. The gap between the 8th seed and the next best team is 20 points.
i could be wrong, but i believe this is the 1st time in history its happened.Just looking at the East standings.. When was the last time all 8 teams that qualified for the playoffs in either conference all over 100+ points?

Or Tampa putting up 8 on Florida as well
I lol'd and I would like this post if I could I surely wouldTake that all you toxic f***s in the GDT
Oh my God, shut up and enjoy the W. You've earned some rest after bitching for the last two days.Win was incredible. Unexpected. Can't believe they won a game with no JT and that leadership vacuum left by his absence.
Matthews with no goals in 5 is concerning. Longest streak of his season. Nobody thinks it's a coincidence that it happens during the time he's out with a cryptic injury.
Not one for individual stuff, but Auston needs a team like the Wings to explode against to get his confidence going for Tampa.
Beating Detroit in the next game to seal home ice would really be nice so that they can rest some guys and make sure there are no injuries in the finale against Boston.

LeaFland ever diligent in finding new ways to supplicate themselves on the altar of angst, negativity and victim hood 2 thumbs up.And for all you a holes again that only came here when it was 3-1

Announcers don’t want to look biased, and we’re often a national game where they really don’t want to look biased.I have a question, may be kind of stupid but here goes. Why do we in Toronto have neutral commentators, but if you watch any other team broadcast they have commentators who are biased towards the team they work for. Why does this happen?
Well one of the remedies for that, is that they need to be called out when the say really dumb stuff. I know there's a lot of it and it won't get it all, but it should stop some of it.Seriously. 109 points, 4th best record in the NHL and people are like "we're screwed in the playoffs" etc. So annoying.
the thing is, i dont think any pro athlete ever doesnt try, they spend their whole lives doing it because they love it. but they are just people at the end of the day and f*** up lol.I take back some of the harsh shit I said about the Leafs tonight. I've been a fan my entire life, so I'm overly passionate about them. I've always been that way. This is a team playing a shit load of games in such a short span after a long, grinding second half.
I'll eat crow this time, I deserve it. What a gutsy comeback win from a tired team that has been battle tested all season.
111 points in the standings, 52 wins, all kinds of records broken, I am proud of what they've done this season. Me talking shit comes from a place of my love and passion for this team. I'm not a fairweather fan or a bandwagon fan. Even if they get swept in the first round, I'd still love them and watch them all 82 games next season because it's my favorite team.
I get overly passionate about them and hate seeing them lose in the playoffs. It's so close to the playoffs and seeing them have efforts like this and in Tampa Bay so close to the playoffs just gives me bad memories and bad vibes. I remember the other 25 games in the last 2 months where they've been for the most part, dominant. Every team has a bad set of games or look horrible here and there. Toronto hasn't done it much this season, so for that, I eat crow and proudly do.
I don't mean to be annoying as shit in the GDT's. When they play well, whether as a collective whole or as a team, I try to sing their praises, or talk about the good plays, goals, blocked shots or saves that they do. I just go overboard with the negativity when they play like crap. I just hate it when they have a mail it in effort. I understand why. I don't think it's because of the game, "not mattering", but because they are simply just dog tired. They played fantastic against Florida the night before. Getting a point from Florida in their building two games in a row is... fantastic.
I honestly don't care about these last two games, this season is just taking forever. I wanna see games that really matter. Doesn't matter what doom and gloom I smattered on about tonight, it'll be their efforts that will be all that matters in game one and after that. I think they have the abilities to win a round, they just have to show up.
Crow doesn't taste as bad as you may think it does.
