The Doomers last night were talking about how an OT loss vs the Panthers was a sign that this team should be broken up in the off season.

Tonight, they will downplay this game because they won in the shootout instead of regulation.

If we beat Detroit by too many goals, they're gonna complain that we scored too many goals and that's not how you win in the playoffs.

If we beat Boston, they're gonna complain that Boston didn't care enough to try on the last game. If we lose to Boston, it's a preview of what will happen in the playoffs.

I was a concerned for a bit that only Ilya would make the scoresheet. My next worry was that the game would end with that too many men on the ice penalty. A point away from clinching home ice in that first round series makes for a good end result here.

After that last game Kallgren really needed that boost. What a display in the SO. Thought Leafs looked dead at 3-1, but he didn't let the backbreaker in. Mikheyev with a great goal for his 20th. Gutsy comeback. Shame about OV though.

Good win for a dead ass tired team. Big finish for Kallgren. I do hope Matthews gets back into it and Nylander gets off the top line to allow for multiple threats.

Kallgren appearing in front of the boys for the first time since the Tampa fiasco before the game.

Goalposts moved to suit narrative

Didn't feel like it was in the cards. Depth cam e through in the end, which I guess based on the game was the only way it was going to happen.

Thought Kerfoot had a rough game, nice for him to get the SO winner. And good on Kallgren, he was very good all game.

As woeful as our Leafs were this game, Caps were no better.

Home ice crisis averted? Hope so.

1-1-1 roadtrip, works for me.

Well, that was a win we probably didn't deserve, but badly needed to stave off Tampa.

Looked like we were going to fold, but battled back to come back. Love to see it.

Really hope we pick it up going into the playoffs.

Also Kallgren our new shootout specialist?
Unfortunately Tampa is now awake. Keefe blowing that game poked the bear.

Quite frankly, that was one of the most annoying too many men I've seen this year. Boston does that shit ALL THE f***ING TIME.
