I'd do it as a leaf fan, which probably means that sens fans will hate it

I think you might be surprised. If we had another option in the wings to play RD this might actually be something some Sens fans would be OK with. But we don't.

I'd do JVR+a depth RHD but we don't have anything on the farm that shoots right with realistic top 4 upside. Like we could tack on Frank Corrado but I doubt that does anything for you

I really don't think it makes sense for Ottawa to move Ceci, especially not for a winger who is less than two seasons from UFA.

I think Ceci is what we would want if we were doing an intra-division trade with our most recent real rival, but I'd go JVR+Carrick for Ceci and drop Lazar if he holds some value to you

I do like Ceci, Lazar would never have a place on the roster on the otherhand. So no dice from the buds. JVR can get a first and prospect, Ceci can't

Not wanting to lose Ceci is fair...but not sure how JVR with 2 years left on a sweetheart deal is a bad thing. He can always be resigned for a market extension

know what happens to most high profile UFA's? they stay with their current team.

Exactly. JVR is a great addition to bump Dzingel out of the top 6 and he could really help our anemic PP as the net front guy.

However removing Ceci puts Wideman in the top 4 and Boro-Claesson on the bottom pairing which is just absolute garbage.
