Pretty much the game

I missed the first 2 periods. Receiver recorder messed up, only caught the Clifford fight and video highlights only show the goals. Were there any other beat downs? I read Simmonds was hitting. Any links to Gif or video to Leafs pounding the Jets would be appreciated.

Wonderful game, most of our team deserves shoutouts.
Matthews........ omg. what more can be said.
My current fav Lily played a great game and wired a lovely goal at the end.
I know Keefe favours Holl, and Lily may end up sitting when we have eight healthy defencemen, but right now to my eye test he is our best RHD.
And as was pointed out earlier, not necessarily because of the influence of Giordano, Lily is finally catching a break with the goalies behind him actually making saves when he is on the ice.
Go Leafs Go!

I hope you guys realize, Auston Matthews is the greatest Leaf of all time and we are watching him now

#34 is the best player in franchise history.

if he stays and stays healthy he will smash Sundin's goals record
Youngsters can appreciate his career years late, like we have Keon's.
Hopefully the relationship between team and player isn't messed up by some meddling owner.

Dave Keon has nothing on Matthews, he didn't score like this

very few do

Also I checked the box score and saw the kerfuffle at the end. What happened there? I was surprised that fights didn't happen earlier.
The game was too close really, especially with the Leafs having to pull out of the 2-0 deficit. Was hoping they could get up by 3 or more and then take care of the other business. Too bad the one ref gave Simmonds and Lowry 10 each at the end. That really would have let off any remaining steam. Surprised Simmonds called out Lowry, and not Stanley, unless we was giving both of them the choice. I really think he wanted Stanley and Lowry stepped in.

Wonder when the suspensions will be handed down for the crosscheck to the back of Bunting's head, the crosscheck to the face of Holl in a defenseless position on the ice, and the blatant knee-on-knee on Kerfoot.
Um … yeah…. they don’t play for the Leafs, so no suspensions. Maybe… m-a-y-b-e a fine.

Frustrating seeing someone have a career year in points and score 2 goals?
Yeah, but he doesn't completely dominate and score 3 points every single game to become the best player in the history of the league, so therefore, he must suck and deserves to be exclusively targeted with negative comments, even after games where he's arguably our best player.

He's not a good ol' Canadian boy so naturally he's lazy.

Jets learn a valuable lesson in humility last night. Even though we went down early in this contest and largely looked terrible in that first frame, I just had a gut feeling that the boys would bounce back in that one.

Happy to see Kallgren steady the ship after 3 saveable goals. He wasn't great by any means, but he was good enough to give us a chance. For as bad as the GA were, I thought he made a handful of really sharp saves that could have easily found their way into the back of the cage. Who knows how this game shakes out if Ehlers buries in that first period. Beautiful read and kick out by Erik there.

Felt like there was this overwhelming desire to get Matty his 50th that it almost took away from the game plan a bit. those 1st 2 PP's were so hard to watch. Everyone in the world knew where that puck was going, Mo passing up an open shot from 10 feet out to try and force feed Matthews the puck was easily the worst.

After that terrible 1st we were just the better team in every aspect. I am probably more happy that the Jets don't get those valuable points vs. us getting them. They should have known better not to give any team, let alone a top team in the NHL, bulletin board material from a win less than halfway through the season. Not suggesting the outcome would have been any different had they handled their December win with a bit more grace, but it certainly felt like a more important game than it needed to feel. After all this was a late March game between a non playoff team and a playoff team. The exact game we've had trouble getting into all season long.

Great win, keep it rolling fellas!

IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER THAN BEATING THE JETS FELLAS????
