Leafs Salary cap discussions

Not re-signing:

Kule
Mcclement
Raymond
Ranger

Well with limited cap space available then that is going to press Marlies and prospects into NHL action to replace some of the departing vets.

Shanny and Nonis have to decide who among those Holland, D'Amigo, Ashton, Granberg, Percy are ready to contribute as regulars and the salary cap more then anything else is governing that decision.

Even if the team would love to retain Bolland and Kulemin there just might not be enough cap $ to afford them.

I am a proponent of building through the draft, restocking our shelves, and recyling this method to keep our salary cap in line.

Nonis is spending like a drunken sailor, think we took a step backward. We need to shed some salary because this team is not there yet.

One thing we need to do is maintain 7 to 8 picks a year. Stop dealing picks for short term non answers.
