You want to prepare him for a playoff run? In the playoffs it's every other day pretty much. They are not doing a rotation in the playoffs, are they?
Not sure, I would assume they would go with the hot hand but I don't see why he'd have any issue playing on two or three days rest.
Whether he plays well on two or three days this weekend isn't really relevant as far as playoffs are concerned.

Matt Murray is among the most injury prone players of all time and I don't think that's exaggeration.

Now he claims he feels better then he has in years, hopefully that's true and he can pick up a few wins.

I got a feeling the offense will have to be on tomorrow.

Personally I would have called up the Russian kid whose name I can't begin to spell.

I don't see a problem with Murray getting a bit of a run, Hildeby just hasn't looked as good as he did last season and a reset down in the AHL to get his game back in order makes some sense to me

It's only his 2nd season in North America so let's get his development right, he's important to the organization medium to long term

Ahktyamov gave up to put the Marlies down 5-1. They pulled him for Murray.

The Marlies won that game 6-5.

Last game Murray had a shutout.

Not sure on your hockey acumen, especially after thinking Brandon Saad is the answer for the Leafs.

I'd much rather give NHL starts to Hildeby but it is what it is
Seems like the plan is to have him make some more AHL starts. With Stolarz and Woll both signed for next year, unless they trade one he is kind of blocked

It's a good time to feed him some NHL starts to me. Murray isn't going to be here next year either, at least probably not anyway. Hildeby should be.

But Murray getting another shot is a good story.

I would rather him be able to play in the playoffs at all rather than be be injured due to being overworked. Stolarz is already down. Why would not want to maximize the recovery time of your only other viable goalie? For the tenuous idea that he for some reason can "prepare" for a heavy schedule? Don't you think letting him physically recover provides a more certain benefit in this regard?

In any case, there is a TON of season left to play. If you really want to test Woll, may be do it when Stolarz is back.

Also, do you remember the last time we let our goalie save 40+ shpts and then have him play the next game?

Please don’t be the team that ends the Sabres incredible run of futility. We’ve had far too many noteworthy failures in recent memory. Somebody else can feel that heat for a change.

Hoping Leafs just get a W tomorrow no matter what. Don't let up on the shitty teams.

Best of luck to Murray. It'd be nice to see him get a few NHL wins.

It's great to have nice depth with the goaltending.

They should be able to get a bunch of goals tomorrow. The offense feels like it's starting to come back to life the last couple of games.

Hildeby will have his chance. This is exactly why we kept Murray around, two injury prone goalie tandem, he was insurance. Dude is only 30 too, not exactly a washed up old guy, just can't stay healthy. Good call, you don't want to over work Woll.

I'd rather start Woll tomorrow. If he is your guy in the future, you need to see him make back-to-back starts 48 hours later after the last game.

stolarz is out like at least a month, he’ll get the opportunity. Makes sense to go to backup during a back to back and of the two games Buffalo is the one you’d start lesser goaltending against

Everything points to a loss lol

Here’s hoping we show up to play
