Bunting Marner Matthews with 6 is pretty huge.

Kallgren 30 minutes no goals ?
Leafs are riding the big boys heavily.

Engvall

all year: 30 PIM over 78 games.

He’s got two minor penalties. They gave him one of the many 10 minute misconducts during the blowout.

Boosh, Rielly, Simmonds, and Engvall all got 10 minute musconducts. Clifford got a game misconduct, which shows as 10 minutes here.

After 7 last night Matthews is third on the team in hits.
That's what I like to see.

AM34 has morphed into that rare sniper/power forward combo that terrorizes the league.

Even better, those hits and the GW goal were all part of him stepping up and deciding he was going to be a presence and will this team to win. Thankfully the supporting cast did their part but if he keeps going into games with the mindset he had last night, good things will come.

Felt like the most important game of his career to date. He’s a physical specimen.

The stats look nice for the core guys on paper but we know those stats don’t mean a thing in this next game (or two). At least 2 of the big 4 need to show up to have a chance at a win.

sheesh JT 72% on the draws.

Underrated how clutch that is in the playoffs. Kerfoot's 38% last post-season as 2C robbed us an extra goal or 2 imo.

Absolutely no way we make it this far without a healthy Muzzin. He's the unsung hero of the series so far.

That pinch in the neutral zone led to the game winning goal last game. He's not getting enough love for sure. Really missed him when he got hurt the last 2 playoffs.

Leafs playoff record with a Muzzin in the lineup (including game 2 against the Jackets when he got hurt right at the end of a certain victory):
7-5

Leafs record with him out (including him getting hurt in the middle of the game last year):
1-4

We have more depth this year but he's a key guy back there and I dont wanna see him go down again.

It's like he suddenly realized he's 6' 3" 215 lbs and strong as a bull.

I think that's the most impressed I've been with him, his best performance ever.

Matthews hit anything that moved last year too. Will need 4 hits tomorrow to tie last years hits per game otherwise gotta wait until game 1 round 2
