Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose.

The evidence is clear as day, you say the game is fast, so things get missed...I'm sorry, you can't grab another player's jersey from behind for that length of time and ride him like it's wind surfing...even the play by play analyst said it's a penalty, and he's a Canadian one...I bet if Leafs did that, it would be a penalty.
 
i'm still literally shaking my head in disbelief that we lost that game. I've barely moved since it happened. I hope the players are quicker to shake it off than I am.

I seriously hope our players don't feel the same way as you, to be honest.

Unless you think we're playing soccer you're asking the wrong questions, entirely.

I agree it's a penalty... it would be a card in soccer so that's equivalent to a penalty in hockey. He grabbed and kept on grabbing.

I get this. But, I feel it falls under the Matthews was rigged to us belief. If the league was rigged in that regard McDavid sure as hell wouldn't be wearing Orange and Blue.

Well he was great in last year's playoffs and this year he was playing pretty well too most of the series except for tonight's game with his unfortunate mistakes. He could easily pot a hattrick in game 7 and all of a sudden people will go back to liking him again. :cool::DD :cool: :DD :cool:
 
That was one of the most intense games I've seen in a while. But also the reffing wasn't any worse than its been for any other series

Easier to rig about what should be a penalty here and there, pretend not to see this one, but call this one...much harder to rig the draft selection process...the draft lottery process is audited by an external firm...refs are fans too, and have their biases. Refs don't have to like the Leafs and that was blatant. How the heck did the Leafs become one of the most penalized teams in these 6 games, and they are playoff games too, compared to their record in the regular season?

Imagine this. A sport that is known for embellishment and diving and crying like a baby; even in that sport it is a yellow card when a jersey is held.

But of course if it is a tampa player doing it the refs turn blind; if it was a leaf doing this they would have been called for a penalty in in the first couple seconds. This shit goes on for 15 seconds and nothing. f*** the refs

easier to rig a blind even like the lotto. How many of you work with an employed person who is incompetent, let alone if they are unionized. I'm just as disappointed/pissed as you. But, the idea of rigging it against the leafs makes minimal sense under Occsm's Razor.

I just want the refs to officiate a fair game. The Leafs went from a team not penalized too much in the regular season to one of the highest if not the highest penalized team in the playoffs, it's pathetic.

I'll just say this, last time my birthday came close to a Leafs game 7 was Boston in 2013. Be prepared to waste a lot of money at Brass Rail. Hopefully, that doesn't happen to me again (and you this time).

I'm not not even saying the refs are purposely rigging the game hoping for a game 7, but their biases whether subconscious or intentional are making it a lot harder for the Leafs to win. We'll see what happens in game 7.

The series itself is the highest penalized, thanks in large part to the theatrics of the first two games.

None of it is an excuse.

I simply don't care at this point.

Control your stick.

The amount of stick infractions the Leafs are taking is ridiculous, and that plays into it.

Was the first high stick a call? No, but the ref saw it at an angle.

The second was.

Deal with it.

Win the f***ing game.

We killed a five minute penalty game one, why are we taking a 2nd high stick penalty 200 feet away from the net.

Ask that.

And then ask why we go down 2-0 to start the game again.
 
anyone think blackwell played pretty good. maybe it's the matchups but he is speedy and skilled. switch him for kerfoot on the 2nd line.

Not only are they THE most penalized team in the playoffs this year, they have the most penalty minutes of any playoff team since 2015.
