Oh well. Nashville is a very solid, tough team, and we don't match up particularly well against physical teams. We were in it for most of the game, a few bounces go differently and that could've been a win.

Kallgren was the second best goalie, but still gave a very solid, NHL worthy performance. Hard to not be happy with what we're getting from him considering the circumstances.

JT back to sucking as soon as Matthews returns. Clifford no business wearing a Leafs uniform.

The loss of Kase is going to hurt though and expose our lack of depth. Wishing him the best in his recovery.

Dubas better not trade away our future again on Monday.

Because he makes like 1/13 the amount of money that Tavares does, But has as many goals as he does.
I’m not gonna bitch at Tavares for that shot though. Matthews have it to him in the corner with pressure coming, tough angle he’s just trying to throw it on net.

Luck swung hard one way tonight. You can't win them all. Kalgreen needs to work on his rebounds. This team needs a defensive overhaul. Keefe was as lost as usual.

The formula for beating Toronto is so easy. Forecheck them as hard as you can and make the game a dirty dogfight. They back down every time. Been like this for so long yet nothing ever gets done about it. Nashville brought it playoff style to us tonight.

Translation- goon up the game by resorting to dirty antics

Nashville is a thug team that basically will make the Cup Finals because their style of MMA garbage is suited for the 'swallow the whistles, cater to the less talented' playoffs where talent takes a backseat to goonery

Not a lot of good things to say about tonight. If Carolina is the blueprint for playoff success, the Nashville game is a flash forward for an elimination game.

I think you have to put Marner with Tavares to get a functional second line going. Matty can fend for himself with Nylander. Feels like Nylander is playing himself out of the Leafs long term plans.

Don't invest in this group. Do not try to fix everything at the deadline. The big structural fixes may need to be looked at in the offseason.
