So are Holl-Muzzin the best defence pairing in hockey still or were those darned blog stats completely dead wrong, again?
Incredible!Bad game by Campbell, and how is Holl still in the lineup?
I swear every opposing goal they zoom in on Holl, he's always on the ice for every goal
There is no logical explanation. The ref made a terrible non call. The same refs who missed Kerfoot being harassed on a breakaway and the called Kase on the weakest call you will see.
They legitimately WERE a good pairing though. Players decline and have off-seasons.So are Holl-Muzzin still the best defence pairing in hockey still or were those darned blog stats completely dead wrong, again?
Tampa made some pretty big gaffes themselves. As much as we'll rave about that matthews faceoff, basic attention to detail and focus stops it giving them a lead at the end of 1. Then there was the hilariously bad Sergachev coverage on the 4-3 goal. We're capable of more and better, but we shouldn't pretend Tampa played a perfect game.Listening to Keefe, he was really disappointed with the bad gaffes...he mentioned Tampa had taken the bad plays out of their game a couple of years ago, but the Leafs have not...really no wonder they are the back-to-back champs...I think some of the guys on this team are trying to do too much instead of playing a sound game...I think that big winning streak has gotten to some of their heads...they should never think they are better than they are.
Great takes all throughout Brotha ….The bad: the score, some serious gaffs (mostly mental, tired?), Holl and Muzzin, and I'm struggling to think of too many more 'throughout' the game issues...maybe some more physical?
The good:
Liljegren is getting better each game. The odd mistake, sure, but his confidence is growing. I like him.
Kase: kid is a buzzsaw.
Matthews: his edge work and pivots are allowing him some serious time with the puck in the O zone.
Rubins: Do we have another young defender? 2 games in and all, but he's looking pretty darned good so far, at least to my eyes.
Kerfoot: Can we put to bed the idea that this fella is an overpaid member of the team? His flexibility throughout the line-up is needed and he's playing well.
PP: two goals.
Tampa, as we know, is a quality team and with Vasi in net, playing well, this was never going to be an easy game. I'm hoping Dermott is able to play in the next. I'd sit Holl, pair TL with Muzz for a few and dress Dermott with Rubens.
They legitimately WERE a good pairing though. Players decline and have off-seasons.
To show us how winners do itTampa is 8-1-1 without Kucherov and point
Wtf. Why must they be in our division
Poor Rubins tasked with carrying Holl’s uselessnessRubins is good, Holl is bad.
Yeah, looks like Campbell is letting in really soft goals every game now. I am not faulting him as the leafs have been running him ragged.Watch again, i think you missed a chunk of the game.
The TB goalie got them 2 points.
Doesn’t matter. 7 PP goals in 10 periods is meaningless. As soon as he’s healthy Keefe is putting him back in his spot running a boring and predictable power playIt's over. Move onto Saturday. Can anyone tell me what the Leaf PP is since Marner has been out? Thanks in advance.
Tampa is also without 4 key playersWatch again, i think you missed a chunk of the game.

I don’t have the exact stats but it sure looks to be much betterIt's over. Move onto Saturday. Can anyone tell me what the Leaf PP is since Marner has been out? Thanks in advance.

Marner is living rent free in some of these guys heads.Well they weren’t guaranteed to win with him either… why you gotta make everything about Marner anyways?
what about a talented team TB making great shots .Garbage goaltending sums up the game
