Look at the human angle of this game reading the pulse of the team, second of a back to back, seemed to get lucky winning in Vegas in the SO, and all the talking heads predicting "trap game," overwhelming skill vs a disadvantaged last place team, the nervous jokes about getting goalie'd first 10 minutes of the game, you could actually make the argument that if we played this scenario 10 times, we probably lose 9 out 10.

IDK why, I'm not as annoyed about this as some of you. They thoroughly dominated and got burned by basically the only 2 defensive mistakes they made. That, and somehow the PPs were tied despite total domination, which never happens when the tables are turned. I will say though, JT has to pick up his game.

You mean like getting burned by the Habs last year? If the Leafs want to be a champ they need to stop making these dumb mistakes that cost them games.

Too much perimeter play and floaters looking for a tip. Collapse in front and the Leafs become a bottom 10 offence. It's been a problem for a long time.

A lot of those shots were 3 feet away from the goalie.
That Yokes goalie stole this game.
On top of that, this is the 3rd game in 4 nights and the backend of a back to back.
There really isn’t much Leafs could do in this game, they dominated, outshot the Yoke by 3 times.
TJ should have played that better, no doubt about it.
PM is really out of form with his timing.
But it is what it is.

Priceless amount of overreaction some of the posters had this game circled to complain about just in case we lost. Grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter much, good game to build on after stealing a few points from shoddy efforts

Noticed the Bruins just keep on winning? Can't let these games get away and be squandered like this. You think next game against St.Louis will be easier than tonight?

I standby my earlier point. While you may ultimately be correct, if your expectation is that Toronto win games 1-0 with their backup goalie in net, you're going to be terribly disappointed, because it's not going to happen very often.

When Campbell isn't in the net to play the roll of Superman is exactly when you need those 4+ goal efforts to help your backup out and give him some confidence. Instead, we scored 1 goal, and defensemen made awful plays on both the Coyotes goals, that contributed to the loss. Mrazek was kind of shit (2 goals surrendered), but his team did nothing to get him a win tonight. The boys will feel that it was on them, not him, and rightfully so.

They just haven't looked as sharp since the Covid outbreak. Especially Tavares seems like a shell of himself, he looked really good before that.

Whatever, we're comfortably going to the playoffs. The only thing that matters is how they play then.

His skating is terrible but his inability to move the puck is really worrisome.
That contract is a boondoggle.

Dominates Arizona but loses on a Hasek kind performance? Absolute disaster. Should be banned from hockey.

Leafs dominated this game. The only reason they lost is due to a really hot goalie that got lucky, as well.

Our big guns all got good looks but he made great saves, or it hit the post (3 times).

Our team played great, or the Coyotes played aweful ( a combination of both I think).

It's not our defense's fault. Or Mrazek's. Or Keefe's. Or ( insert the Leaf you hate the most). This isn't even on the refs.

Leafs met a hot goalie that also had some fantastic luck tonight.

The clowns on tsn blaming brodie for the game winner when mrazek is cheating to his glove side before the pass is made, then attempts to poke the puck away and ending up on his stomach, when he could have simply slid across completely controlled in the butterfly and easily stopped it. That's a 75 foot pass that he played horribly wrong.

Mrazek isn't strictly to be blamed for tonight, but his game is wild and he's prone to overplaying everything. My feeling is the teams that play in front of him won't feel secure or like having him back there.

If anyone remembers, he's the goalie the Leafs came back to beat in that 8-6 futures game shootout a couple of years ago vs Carolina and he got wrecked coming out of the net in the EBUG game.

Mrazek can get extremely hot and play out of his mind, but wherever he goes, expect chaos.

ill cut mrazek some slack cuz he has played 4 games all season. he'll get some decent play time as jack gets some rest and he'll be better.
