As soon as we heard the story of this game (worst team & missing 10 regular players), I think we all knew this would be a loss.

Just add it to the pile of embarrassing Leafs losses.

That, and somehow the PPs were tied despite total domination, which never happens when the tables are turned. I will say though, JT has to pick up his game.

The Coyotes were missing 10 regulars. They were a glorified AHL team.

That was a "Zamboni Driver" level loss. The Leafs are good for one or two of those a season.

Glad that I stayed up to watch it though. Good for that Coyotes group of nobody's. Ultimate troll job against the media darling Leafs.

f***, we REALLY deserved to win that game - that’s about as 1-sided as it gets. Absolutely terrible luck/bounces offensively, bad bounce off the glass on the first Yotes goal, and standard crap Mrazek goaltending on the 2nd goal (either successfully go for the puck, or go for the save - going for the puck but wiffing and leaving the open net, the worst).

Oh well, it happens. We utterly, utterly dominated that game, and had terrible luck. Just sucks to have it happen when we’re in fierce competition with Florida and Tampa, and they basically never lose :/ At least we got 3-of-4 points in games where we were outplayed by Colorado and Vegas, balances it out somewhat.

I will say though, I really hate that Mrazek contract. 3 years, $3.8 mil AAV, and he’s just not good at all. His .889 sv% tonight was actually his best yet in a game for the Leafs, yikes. $6.2 mil AAV between Mrazek and Ritchie, both on multi-year deals, that’s a travesty. That’s the cap space we need to re-sign Campbell blown on basically nothing. You know Campbell let’s in 0 or 1 goals in this game, if he were in net.
