Nah, there's plenty of other players that didn't score on their odd man rushes, Tavares just didn't on all of his scoring chances as well. He looked like he always does, slow, plodding, ineffective, minus player, makes bad plays, gives the puck away.

At least he wins faceoffs?! There's that, so yay!

Meh 3 on 3 doesn't apply in the playoffs. It's a track meet. A missed chance that ends with two of your players behind the opposition's net always leads to a chance the other way. Not many guys would catch Montour there.

I f***ing hate games in Florida. The Leafs' just can't win often there.

Lots of chances around the net, just not many bounces tonight.

JT in OT is a bad idea. He’s just too slow. You need some Engvall and Mikheyev, but ultimately 3 on 3 doesn’t exist in the playoffs. I still don’t like that we couldn’t finish our chances. JT does not look like he’s worth anything close to 11 mil, but it is what it is

Jack made a big save on Weegar earlier and Matthews/Marner and Tavares/Nylander both had some counter rushes 2-1.

Same reason Gio didn't pass it to him the last OT, he took the tough shot because he had no confidence in JT lol

JT is a liability on 3v3 and he better starts scoring his chances bc a 11mil faceoff C is a bit much.
Only watched the 3rd period and Holl got away on a hold toward the end of the game, not sure how the reffing in the first two periods were like.
I know Bunting is injured but having all three of them on a line is not good. Need to spread out a bit. Also, I think trying Blackwell with AM and MM might not be a bad idea.
Engvall is playing well and he is a good glue guy on a line, really want to see him play on a line with JT and see if they can feed off each other. To me Engvall is a lot less dynamic than Willie and that might allow JT to catch up.

We outplayed them very hard in the 3rd. Should’ve been a regulation win just couldn’t get it in the net. Good effort from the boys and the refs stayed out of it, that’s all I asked for before the game so I’m ok with this.

Glad Campbell had another strong start personally. 2 GA in regulation against Florida is pretty solid.

Two teams looking to avoid injury as they both have back to backs and are revving up for playoffs.

Leafs played solid D for the most part against a lethal team. If Matty was a few games back he probably gets two or three tonight.

Campbell was in early season form. The days off have been a big deal.

Rooting for FLA tonorrow against TB.

We need to be Panthers fans tomorrow night, or it's going to be a pressure-packed final game vs. Boston.
